Classifieds board for our swim gear...

Post by swimmerboy » Mon Jun 07, 2010 7:59 pm

Who thinks this might be a nice addition to the forum?

Of course there are plenty of suits on eBay and a multitude of online swim shops, but I would really enjoy a marketplace where the Speedos were bought and sold by "enthusiasts" who know their products. I used to sell suits to swim/polo/dive teams, and I always liked that. (Although it was sometimes hard not to stare at my customers!)

A place, perhaps another section on here, would be neat to buy/sell/trade suits (new and used) as well as other aquatic gear, since some of us legitimately use our stuff in competitive/fitness swimming - which spawned the fetish in my case...

I might have a few things that could use a good home...

I've got a couple suits that are too big for me that I might sell.

One's a navy blue Speedo brand that looks like a solar (but it doesn't say solar on the tag.) two inch sides and center seam front and back. Instead of the stitched logo it has the plastic Speedo sticker logo. Size U.S. 32. Too big for me. With tags!

Also have a black Thailand Speedo Endurance with a grey splice in "large" thats too big. I guess "large" is bigger in Thailand than Japan. Closer to a U.S. medium. Without tags (well, I've got the tags but they aren't on the suit anymore. Some of the writing is in Thai.) Only worn to check size.

I keep thiking I could save them for if I put on weight. But lately I've lost weight. Probably the lycra will go bad before I gain weight.

I have a turquoise/white JM pouch midcut (sz 32) that has never fit right. Willing to sell or trade. -FS
