Small Sizing?

Post by newspeedo » Thu Jul 09, 2009 3:51 am

Hey guys,

Like many I've been a lurker for a while but recently went on a trip with my boyfriend and finally worked up the courage to wear a speedo-style swimsuit while there! Wore an Aussiebum Squad Boosterjock one day and a red Priape Tulin on another. We were in pretty open-minded areas so we experienced no negative comments. Folks seemed to totally ignore it and chatted with us freely.

Anyway, I'm not a very athletic person, but am lucky (sort of) in that I am naturally pretty thin. Perhaps too thin. I found these suits to be marginally too big. The Aussiebum was an XS and the Priape was a S. They weren't super hang-y, but still felt a little bigger than they ought to have. For evidence, my boyfriend wore the Squad when I wore the Priape and he's a couple pounds more filled out and it definitely fit him better.

My question is whether you guys know of quality suit manufacturers who size things a bit smaller. I have actually tried a few Asian-made Speedos before and found them to be too small! Perhaps I should stick with them but just order Large/O rather than Medium... But before I shell out more cash I wanted to ask this very knowledgable group!

Hmm a bit jealous of both NewSpeedo and Joshua being naturally thin ... but if you got it flaunt it in the skimpiest Speedo you can find  And yes, you both look totally doink-able in your new avatars ... tee-hee

Kids sizes, eh? It's funny you mention that. I've been told to wear women's jeans from time to time. I'm not sure that's a compliment. But it's true. Boys speedo might just fit. I'll give it some thought.

Speedorod- you can bet I get hard tryin' them on. Unfortunately I don't have enough cash to accumulate the vast quantity of suits I'd end up taking after "testing" them out. :P

Scotty- I thought the red one in my avatar was too skimpy! I'm not sure I can carry off anything too risque, dude!

Hey Speedorod, you're not the only one who get's hard trying them on! I do, too. I make sure I'm gonna buy them before going commando 'cause I might involuntarily leave something in them otherwise. 8)

Going up a size in Asian suits should work okay. Asian suits are $$$ tho. Do U live in Australia?

At the moment I'm trying to find Japanese suits on eBay but I'm very very picky and at the moment I don't see anything I really like. But I'll keep my fingers crossed I guess. And yes, I know they're expensive. I try to buy as few as possible.

Anyway, naw I'm from the Northeast US. Though random point- I just saw Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations" Melbourne and dayum- I'd love to live out there. You Aussies have a beautiful country.

I've just bought a Japanese pair on eBay. I'm interested to see how it fits me, whether it'll be too big or too small. I'm a tiny guy with a 28"/30" waist.

To have waist that small is envious! I haven't had that size waist since I was teenager. I certainly hope you can maintain that physique as you get older, but your metabolism will control that.
Anyway, You young bucks look great and wear your speedos well !!!

I do have a few suggestion on some websites that sell/make various sizes, which may help. (note: not in any particular order)

1. http://swimwear4men.com/?c=A3&gclid=CMu ... 5Qod1jqE9A
2. http://www.starwearusa.com/virtuemart?p ... 3&TreeId=7
3. http://www.mensuas.com/servlet/StoreFront
4. http://www.moda-audaci.com/
5. http://www.erogenos.com/
6. http://bebrief.stores.yahoo.net/index.html
7. http://www.globalguysgear.com/b/24458/1 ... ralia.html
8. http://www.budgysmuggler.com.au/
9. http://www.agonswim.com/Default.cfm

I know of many more sites, but I think that enough for now LOL

Good luck in your hunt for the perfect suit 8)

I have a 30" waist. The Japanese Aqux in my Avatar and my new Speedo brand speedo from Thailand are size "M." Their pretty tight but look okay and feel great. A U.S. "M" would be too big for me. They both cost about US$28, plus shipping.

Your Speedo with the crisscross pattern is fantastic! I try to keep the cost of the Asian suits under $30. The Aqux was on ebay/australia. and yeah, I'd like to live there too. I may be leaving Florida for the Northeast. Figure I should try someplace else when I'm still young. Nothing happening here. Will miss the warm ocean tho. Went for a swim at dusk a couple days ago and the moon was over the water.

My AQUX in the pics i posted are size "L" and i have about a 31-32" waist so i think you probably are gonna fit really well into the Mediums ... but depending on the suit, your cock may be held in place fairly tightly ...

Oh Scotty... Always egging people on... Trying to bring the "dark side" out in everyone. But I'll be honest- if I could grab a Medium in those white Aqux that you and Justin have (or your white Arena's)... I'd be a happy camper. Oh well. We all can't be lucky.

@Justin88 I'm glad you like those cross-cross Speedos. They're becoming my favorite pair. Even more than the red Priape! I'm pretty sure that I'll be going to Rehoboth Beach next week and I'll probably wear 'em (and maybe take pix). Hope they're not too risque for the homos there.
