Convincing Aussiebum to bring back the old styles!

G’Day everyone,

I’m sure that I am not along in thinking that the wonderjock and other variations and colour patterns of aussiebum classic swimwear was the best they have offered. Well I message their “contact” page letting them know that I am still frustrated that they discontinued these styles, and they responded back letting me know that they currently do not know when/if they would be brought back, but were forwarding the message to management. If everyone who feels the same way would contact them I bet they would bring it back. I attached the link below that takes you right to the contact page for you to fill it out and let them know they should bring them back. I’m sure Dave would enjoy getting some more Portseas and Coolabah.

I was just thinking the same thing on my walk down to the beach this morning. Those old surf club style speedos is what we all loved about AussieBum to start with. I'm not a fan of a lot of their new stuff.

I was going to email them and ask them to let me know next time they have a sale on as well.

If I hear back, I will let you guys know.

Dave that's great to hear. They actually have a sale going on right now to celebrate 20 years, but really it's more sad that the reason the company was created 20 years ago has fallen so far from their current offerings. They did at least seem very receptive to asking to bring back the old styles, but it will only be if enough of us let them know our thoughts and feelings.

I feel the same way about their underwear style, the MY DAY collections. The narrow sides were sexy and it made our bulges look so tempting, without any enhancing.

I'm with Rockman. I nabbed a WJ Storm in the last sale, only blue-white available, but not complaining. I like the feel of WJ and the original classic nylon, just enough support to feel the tackle is about to fall out. Flirting with danger while body-surfing

agree the best stuff was the old Wj stuff i got 4-5 years.. the new stuff fit completely differnet and very disappointing.

I just received two medium size AB 1.5 Classics, maroon & forest green. The sizing is smaller than even the small's that I've bought over the years. I don't know what AB is doing, but I'll be sending these back for credit. Can't know what size to buy!

Luckily, I have an ample collection; even doubles in my favorite styles!

I have some cool WJ spliced suits from about then that work really well. And I did finally figure out how the WJ works, at least for me. Haven't bought any ABs since then. Sounds like they're killing their own brand.

I thought it was just me but I just tried on some old pairs (which fade pretty bad) and you are right, the sizing is WAY smaller!!!

I just thought I was fatter....

I bought some new pairs a few months ago in Medium and felt they were really tight, but then bought them in large and they were too big . They almost seem to have changed the size/cut in the crotch to be smaller. I agree with others that I have plenty to last for awhile, but never stocked up the way I should have because I figured they would always be around. You live and learn I suppose.

Nope, you're fine. I'm in the office trying on my AB 1.5 Classic smalls &mediums royal blue & red from 2018, to compare. The new medium maroon & forest green both fit smaller in the waist than the '18 smalls, while the crotch girth seems greater and the crotch width narrower so the boys could easily fall out!!

AB has this new little message on the webpage for these suits: "Important! The design of this product is a slightly smaller fit than our regular sizing. We recommend ordering 1 size up than your usual size for a more comfortable fit. " Wow, if I ordered a large, God knows what they’d look like!!

I really like the PartyOn Banana blue though, that I bought at the same time - that fit is fine, but safe to say I won't be buying anymore AB's unless I'm desperate (which shouldn't be until 2040!). And since I only paid US$ 14 for each, I won't bother sending them back . Save them for when I need a throwaway, or for a friend!

Their original stuff seemed to be when they actually designed.

Now they just seem 100% marketing of whatever they find for a bargain price at some sweatshop.
The sizing is different between every style and lots of their cuts are horrible grandpa styles which the models scrunch down to look like a lower cut.

Don't know why they just don't do good styles to start with, it's the most basic of garments.

I finally got around to wearing a pair of Forest green and yellow Loose 2.5 today to tan in. Later, I went online to see if they made them in other colors I might like, only to find they don't sell them anymore!
