I agree with you, mate. But I think most guys are self-conscious. Homophobia plays a role. So does sexism. I blame sexism more than homophobia. Also, there are few real occasions when men can dress sexy in real life ... :oops:

My quirky little theory: it seems the human female is the ornament and the human male is the foil to the ornament or the admirer of the ornament. Take formals, for example. The women flash flesh, sport colour, wear jewels, etc. The men wear tux. Men's evening wear usually isn't colourful and it certainly isn't skin-baring. Are males doomed to be forever boring, due to social conventions linked to the masculine gender? I fear the answer to this question is generally "yes".

On the other hand, I sympathise with chicks who don't have great bodies, and don't want to put their bare arms, shoulders, legs and boobs on display. To a shy and modest lady, most feminine clothing must be perfectly horrid. :lol:

I agree with you, Species 439 -- I mean system439.

When a man wears a shirt, he is never required (except in some professional settings) to ensure he has no VNLs (visible nip lines). The contours, size and lines of his male equipment should be no social issue anywhere!
