I own more than a couple of AussieBum. My opinion on them is that they have a good price but I hate the inconsistency on sizing. I have never owned a pair of Armani or CK swimsuit but I do own a couple of CK undies and they're pricey but well worth it.

Thats so true!rozelle wrote:I own more than a couple of AussieBum. My opinion on them is that they have a good price but I hate the inconsistency on sizing.
I find that the size is consistent with a style, but if you change style them the fit could be anything sometimes.
Classic/loose 1.5, 2.5 are corect in fit. undies are smaller, Loose WJ are big, Lowriders are correct, World Series are tight!

I haven't tried any of them but these are my observations. I wouldn't wear the Calvin Kleins because the waistband makes them look like underwear. I avoid looking like I'm wearing underwear at the pool. I like the Armani. I like the rather narrow sides but I noted that the orange pair on the website has wider sides than the other colors which makes me wonder how consistent their sizing is. I would also like to see them on a model. In any event I would need a 30 or 32 and their sizes start at 34. That's the best way I think to get a good idea of how they really look. I like the look of some AussieBum suits. I like narrow sides but I don't like a wrinkly loose looking fit. I like a stretched tight look.

The Orange Amarni trunks definitely have slightly wider sides compared to the neon yellow trunks. But I have found that some of the designer names do run a little small. I am going for the Orange trunks. Will post a pic when I receive them. (won't look as good as the model tho).BJE wrote:I haven't tried any of them but these are my observations. I have been looking at the EA7 for a while. The line has been out for several years now and their are a lot of different cuts and colors. If you do go with the EA7's do a search for them and compare prices and colors on other websites because you may find them cheaper. Off hand, when Yoox.com has a sale, you can find last year's colors at a good discount if they still have your size.

Strangely enough I would feel more conspicuous wearing a suit with the side width of the orange one. Not to offend anyone but to me the look of a wide side speedo is more of a granny panties look than a sexy man look. I don't want more than two inches and preferably more like an inch and a half. I've sent a lot of suits back because they had too much coverage. For me the right amount of side width would be such that the depth of the suit from top to bottom just to the side of the front would be just enough for my penis to have room to lay sideways between the waistband and leg opening without poking out of either.Speedoaddict wrote:The Orange Amarni trunks definitely have slightly wider sides compared to the neon yellow trunks. For what it is worth.... EA7's probably fall more into the 'fashion briefs' category (what people call it here). If you see EA's line go down the [fashion] runway, the models often have them slightly scrunch down on the sides a bit. Fashion briefs don't get mentioned here a lot but I think personally there are some aspects that are completely different from what is often talk about here. There are other brands (that for some reason don't seem to get mentioned) that offer wide sides and are often 'modeled' with somewhat of a scrunch sides. Parke and Ronen and DSquared2 are two brands that are pretty big with the scrunch sides look. I read once it is a take off of how guys wear Sunga suits in Brazil.Strangely enough I would feel more conspicuous wearing a suit with the side width of the orange one. There are some really great looking suits out there if you are willing to look around and branch off into the fashion side of suits. Being in the US, we are not exposed the the fashion brands as easily as our European counterparts. The last time I was in Italy, my wife and I spent a lot of time in and out of clothing shops (mainly because it was so hot in Italy the days we were there and we needed some A/C relief) and I have to say I was in sensory overload with brands. Their are some great patterns, very low cut and yes, true 1" sides swim briefs out there. Unfortunately what I find is that with 'fashion' there comes a price tag. But sometimes if you are willing to look around and wait for a sale, you can pick up a suit and a decent price.... but now that's all off topic from granny panties... lol
