Hello. I want to know what do you think about those swimwear? Ab is currently on sell and I do need some advice about them.
What are the differences for those swimwear? Thank you.

The classic has an elastic waist and the loose doesn't, the loose relies on the drawstring only. I prefer the loose.

So something like the classic will be more tight than loose? And what is elastic waist?

The loose and the classic are both as tight as each other, there is no difference in the size, cut or fit. Both also have a drawstring. The classic has the elastic waist, which is just a strechy band which is also where the drawstring goes around your waste. So, with the loose, you have to do the drawstring up otherwise they will fall off when you're swimming, or the classic you can just pull on like undies and they will stay up without the drawstring being done up.

Ah thank you for your suggestion.

Thanks Capeboy, likewise you have a very impressive front end!
They were Aussiebum 1.5" classics in that pic.

A'bum 1.5 Classics are just great - and on sale again. I've got a pair of the red, but don't think I look as good as that!

From memory, that's not the first time forum members have complimented Sam's caboose.
Nice one Sam! Without bums like yours, the swimwear would just be called 'Aussie'

haha thanks Budgybloke, I'm just lucky the aussiebums fit me well. Here are some others that I think work well.
If you like the 1.5" then these low cut aussiebums will probably fit well too.

I have a few of each Classic 1.5" and the Loose 1.5". i do find though that the cut is different from one to the other. i find the loose to have more material in them where your balls sit. as i wear these as underwear i prfer the classic for every day underwear as they have the elastic in the waist, but on days where a swim is likely then the loose are better for me especially if i will be sitting on the beach or poolside with the waist tied there is less chance of fall-out... i have found that the Aussibum nylon range do dry faster after a swim than the lycra speedo brand. what i have also worn over a pair of classics is a pair of Aussiebum Footy shorts, especially for waterparks. we went to Alton towers last year and we were asked to put shorts on even our 2 sons aged 2½ at the time!!.

Thanks good advice I have yet to get a standard AB - still loving my Superhero swimmers! Love the 100% Poly... but I always wondered what the difference was between Loose and Classic.

I really like the blue aussiebum portsea but I'm trying to decide on whether to get a size small or medium. I have both sizes in the classic 2.5 and the small fits me snug in the back and front while the medium is just a tad bit looser in the back but it seems like i can't tie the front up tight enough as the bulge seems to drag it down and a few pubes show. Which size should i go with for the portsea S or M? Their classic brief undies are the best undies I've bought... just an aside lol

I say go for the medium because I an assortment of the smalls and mediums and I just get that little bit of extra room in the mediums. The sizing isn't that different that I can fit into both all my smalls and mediums.
Just a straight guy who likes speedos and aussiebums

I agree with this. I fit between a 14 and 16 in speedo, the 14s are a little tight until they wear in and the 16s are a little loose. In the AB's I've had both but they don't have the give that lycra has so the mediums fit a lot better than the smalls. More room for your merchandise.

I have both of them. The Classic is a little bit tighter than the Loose. And so the size fits a little bit different. So for me its enough with size S for the Loose, but the Classic fits better for me with size M.
