Traditional Running Shorts Making a Come Back

Post by California Dolphin » Tue Mar 20, 2012 9:11 pm

To my delight, I've noticed that men's running shorts are in fact getting shorter these days.

Here in San Francisco, there are a couple of jogging paths (one in Golden Gate Park and the other along the waterfront) and amazingly, about 1/2 the guys are now wearing "Marathon" shorts which are at least mid-thigh and some are even shorter.

I haven't been to the pool lately, however I hope the shorter look is catching on for swim suits too!!!

On the subject of general athletic wear, it looks like wrestling suits are getting shorter too!!!

Shorter Swimsuits are coming back. If you go to a Hollister or an American Eagle you'll notice they're at least above the knees. The fashion places are at least trying to push shorter trunks on the teenagers, but I haven't seen it catching on.

I suspect the shorter look is catching on more with adults (ages 20 +) who are more comfortable with their body and emotions.
