From the forum I've never got notifications via email, though I've added this point in my profile

I've swum in Tyr 2" briefs (like I have in my avatar), which are actually closer to 1.5" in width, but even those are a little narrow, in my view, for regular lap swimming.

My typical brief for laps is an Arena suit; most of their standard briefs are 2-2.5".

I have that same suit. I love it. I don’t think it’s at all too skimpy for lap swimming. Tyr is a major competition swimwear brand. Their suits are made for swimming no just for show.

For swimming laps, I think, nothing is too skimpy. There is need for moving free and everything restrictive fabric is too much. I've never had any problems when using my Neptunescepters or my 1,5' Aussiebums

Swam in a speedo solar yesterday at my YMCA pool. It was the aqua one with stripes. Skimpiest suit I’ve ever done laps in. They have a shower on the deck that you have to use before swimming, so I had to walk around on deck in just my speedo for a bit. That was a bit of a rush.

I swim in either a Speedo Solar or Sporti Euro Swim Brief.

The pic I've wanted to upload is 1280x720 and much less than 1000 kb. Last uploads were more, without any problems.
So what, let's wait and/or hope for better conditions
Upload to external image host sites.
Most automatically generate the phpbb forum BB code to embed a clickable thumbnail which links to the full resolution.

Local hosted images are hard on the server to run with costs and backups accumulating over the years.

I resize all pictures to 800 pixels wide and never have a problem posting.

1st photos: downsized (pixel) photos as jpeg's wouldn't upload, but they easily did when saved as .png

2nd, back to topic: laps at my neighborhood pool in my AB 2.5 WJ Whitehaven (tied pretty tightly!). Might try Portsea's next summer.

Laps at a small public pool in my city in AB WJ Loose 2.5 Portseas. No matter how tight I tied they just don't conceal much when wet. Once when I was doing laps in a pool in Sydney there were about 10 men, all in AB classic 1.5/2.5s in Navy, Royal and Black. Heaven to the eyes!

As far as I’m concerned, the skimpier the better! Sadly, I don’t want to “upset” friends and extended family. And, my pool is at the college I’m a professor in... I’d rather not have any of my students see me in a swim thong  . I’m joining another pool near where I live, so I’ll soon find out re skimpiness 8) .
Buttoned up college professor by day, happy freak at heart! There will be nudity. I’m French and American. Sometimes the flag is one country’s, sometimes the other’s.. Oh!

52dno98: I think the suit you are wearing in your avatar looks great on you and see no problem with wearing it for lap swimming. You have the built for it and it looks great on you. Assume by your statement that you wore a solar at the YM which was skimpier than the suit in your avator, so go with either suits for lap swimming. Enjoy your laps in whichever suit you decide to wear.

I would love to be able to swim in a thong!
Let us know if/when you find a pool where you can!

While it’s not the skimpiest I swim laps in my Desmiit thong during the adult swims at my local city pool in WA. Gary Majdell Ultra Greek the rest of the time. I wear them for comfort not to push any boundaries or make a scene.
