“Now most kids would rather die than be nude in front of anyone.”

So true! So, I’m a Boy Scout leader because my son is in Scouts and the boys are petrified of being nude in the shower. From what I’m told (adults are not allowed to be in the showers when the boys are in there) the boys all wear their swim trunks in the shower. What that really means is they don’t wash areas of the male boys that need to be washed on a regular basis. Add in that the humidity is high and they are sweating all over, they get a condition called Monkey butt. They have chaffing on the inside of their thighs and they have an itchy butt - both caused by not being clean. Even though “they shower” they still smell. Some camps have individual stalls for people.

When I was in junior high and high school in an urban school, we all had large open showers with either nozzles circling the room or in central pillars each with five or six nozzles. You took a shower and moved on.
