I wouldn't wear them as swim trunks because they have no drawstring. As a beach cover-up though, for exercise and general wear, they're great, very comfortable.

I have a couple pair of the Soffes. As running shorts, they're unparalleled. Everything you need with nothing you don't. Super lightweight, soft, liner keeps everything in place, and they have an interior key pocket. I have one that I cut the liner out of but you can't really do anything with that except wear to bed or as a cover up. Without the lining you'll flop right out a leg hole.

I just bought three on a 3 for 30 sale. Super comfy and I plan on using them for lounging and yard work. They are Modest enough to not worry about opening the front door in them.

I just invested in 3 Combat Iron Ranger Panties and really like them for gym strength training days. Show off legs well. Anyone else other guys tried these…they are well worth the investment. Side note: I wear Hom Plume mini briefs under them for extra needed support. Briefs need to be minimal.

The site hasn't been updated in three years, but for all you Ranger Panties fans there's a lot of content to peruse ...

I have a couple pairs from my Crossfit gym, they are super lightweight and love running in them.
I also have a pair of the original, Soffe ones.
Definitely get some attenion when I freeball in them - the lining is pretty good, but the one pair I cut it out so I could wear them with compression shorts... but turns out I never end up doing that.

Anyone swam in them? I’ve seen a few reviews that mention swimming in them, but I don’t think they’d contain my excitement very well…in that case, they’d be too loose.

Yes! They were designed for military to pack light, and wash and dry quickly, so they are perfect for swimming... However, they are so thin and silky, they basically cling to you super tight when wet, you might as well be naked.
There are a bunch of army guys in my running group, and one time last summer after our run, everyone went swimming - a few of them were wearing them. They are all straight guys, so I tried not to stare too much, but I could literally draw you a picture of each of their junk after seeing them come out of the water. HOT!!!

Great for a Speedo cover up. Speedo provides support under Ranger panties for swimming on more modest days. Would too revealing without speedo, jock or boxer jock below for me.
