I would at least require everyone to use the shower (I would look at having one installed if possible) prior to entering the pool.

I wouldn't unless I knew they would damage the pool in any significant way. I would want my guests to wear anything they like as long as it's not obscene, unless it's an adults-only event.
Boardshorts are trash. Wear speedos instead :!: :)
