When I'm wearing a speedo, I like the fabric to feel smooth/slippery on my skin. The Dolphin brand speedos that I have feel best...fabric seems kind of thin, and the material slides around on me and feels fantastic. You really get a sense of the fabric cupping itself around your junk, almost spongy. It feels great! But, the downside is the material wears out kinda quickly, and becomes a bit too revealing for the public pool.
My Speedo brand suits that are 80/20 nylon/lycra feel this way too. I think the newer "stronger" lycra fabrics (Xtra Life, Chloroban) increase suit life but feel a little stiff on the body.
What feels best to you?

I really like the stiffer fabric like speedo extra life and all the Nike and TYR swim products.
The speedo endurance line just sucks. That fabric feels like it has no flex at all and just crushes your balls if you down size.

Those endurance speedos are everywhere here! Lots of the stores carry them and very little of anything else and it bugs the hell out of me.
Finally found a guy wearing an amazing swimsuit (he also had an amazing body to put in it) and I asked him where he got it... Sardinia he said :s
Seems you either wear the crap or you're on a swimteam here in Montreal and wear the team suits. Grr!

I agree that the endurance fabrics feel kind of stiff. You dont notice it so much when they get wet.
I have some JM suits. A couple of them have an almost rubbery slinky soft feel to them.
I have a Meba suit from Spain. Its very thin and silky. Found out about them from a dude on another board and got a used one on ebay. I think Meba is out of the suit business. They make soccer stuff. Anyway its really brief and so light its like wearing nothing (not seethru tho...). I almost never wear it because I'll probly never get another one. I'll post it sometime.

Sounds quite interesting, Justin - would love to see it ...
