G'day Guys,
Welcome to the Speedo Forum.
If you are a guest, you can only see a small portion of the forum. Members like posting their speedo selfies so I don't like that to be 100% public. However, joining is free.
If you are a new member, you need to email me your username so I can manually activate your account. This is a pain (for you and me) but it is the only way I've been able to keep the spam bots from ruining the forum. My email address is:
DaveEvans@SpeedoFetish.com
This forum is free and I don't allow any advertising (except my own sites), if you would like to donate please click the link above, all donations go towards the hosting and maintenance of the forum for everyone to enjoy.

I hate to call your attention to this matter again...but the photo board is overflowing with spam posts and I think it is getting out of control...Can someone please clean it up so that we can enjoy it?
If someone give me access and instructions in how to delete the spam posts, I will volunteer and do so on a daily basis...

I have actually volunteered to install anti-spam onto the site so this crap will no longer happen, but someone doesn't want to seem to let me do it...its getting bloody annoying having to scroll through a whole page of spam to see the pics that guys post and the mods can't be on here 24/7, I can access this site from my blackberry so can clean up whatever spam there is, but to no avail I am not a mod, but I usually check this site close to 10 times a day even when I am at work which is where I am at now.

Its not the spam that really bothers me, not sure if I should say this or not, but this could have been taken care of a LONG time ago. Like I've said before, I know Dave is a busy guy, but this spam is going to be the end of this site.

There is change over of servers happening right now. Once they are done, which we have been informed will be soon. The anti-spam software will be active again. It really does a good job of cleaning up spam.
On a side-note, your work lets you surf the internet while you are there?

I will forgive you... this time...lol
All kidding aside...I think there are enough people here who can volunteer to police the board more often on a frequent basis and monitor it and make sure that the spaming is controlled at least while the servers are being changed...

My work does not let me surf, I am on my blackberry, although the pics may not be the same quality as my 52" monitor/TV at home, I still enjoy a hot guy in a speedo when I see one...lol

Scotty does indeed deserve the majority of any praise!! No Scott not for whats in your speedo, boys do not believe what he tells you, I know the truth.
He really has kept a lot of things on here up and going and really stays on the spam while the majority of us are not posting much these days. I try to get on more now, but I still do not post that often anymore. Not that I do not want to, but my time is so limited I just get to read a couple quickly, and then I'm off.
Scott you should blush, your ass cheeks are good at that, Oh I'm so mean but nice...

Apologies for bringing up an old thread.
I see we are still getting these annoying spams, and I appreciate Mods trying to keep on top of things by zapping spam posts, and we all do appreciate your efforts.
I've got a suggestion - why not add one or two more Mods who are from different Time Zones as I noticed most Mods we have are from USA Time Zones (plus Dave Evans from Australia/New Zealand), and most of the spams seem to have appeared overnight during the Moderators' own Time Zone.
Can I suggest we have a British Moderator (or even someone who is a few hours ahead of GMT), that way there'll always be a Mod at any Time Zones who can zap spam posts as soon as it appear, not when USA mods get up in the morning and check the forum when they have the time (we appreciate that the Mods have a life of their own and need sleep etc!

)
What do you think?

Granted, it's not perfect but it's the best suggestion I could come up to deal with the spam postings. I'm a member of several other forums (all non-Speedo related) and we don't have any annoying spams whatsoever. In fact I don't recollect ever see a single spam posting on my other forums.
Perhaps it's the nature of our interests on this Forum that attract these unwanted spammers.

Im not real geeky with it, but the register page can be setup as non standard which stuffs the spam computers auto entering new people onto the forum. A question on the page that has to be answered correctly also, anything thats basic but not standard.... like.... what colour are whitespeedos? and the whoever wants to join has to answer that which is easy peasy but a spam computer cant do that.

That's a very good idea, Sam. I subscribe to an e-newsletter and if I wanted to put in a comment about an article, I have to type in two random words in order to get my comments published online. It is very successful at keeping spammers out.
