Some guyz are shy/nervous about their bods. I had friends in high school who never showered or took off their boxers for gym class. Your friend didnt like to show his package or even his underwear in the locker room. Have you ever just sorta told him he has a great body? I mean its like a general compliment. Hey he's your best friend!

He might not say anything because he just doesn't want to raise the issue. Maybe he suspects that you may be gay but doesn't want to raise the issue himself. He may think that if you want to raise it you will raise it. It might be that he doesn't want to risk offending you if he is wrong or complicating your relationship if he is right.

all through school and into my adult life you wouldn't catch me being anything but closeted, and unwilling to pick up somebody's pro-gay comment. at the time guys changed for gym and never in a toilet stall.

occasionally mention something which he could interpret as inquiring. he can pick up on it or not. have you thought about coming out to him?

oh yes many times. but i just dont have the courage. im such a coward. last time i tried i couldnt and ended up telling him i was still a virgin, he said he already knew it. i was like how come? he said he could tell i was kind of afraid of girls thats why he could tell i was a virgin. i said nothing. he really believes that.

Mate - you're not a coward at all. It's a pretty big thing coming out to anyone.

It's sometimes comforting to realise you're not alone in what you're going through. Many have been in this situation before and many will be after. Just take it all at your own pace.

Good luck with it all, HJK.

You know what? I need to echo what Budgybloke said - you're NOT a coward and you should realize that there are lots of others just like you in similar situaions ... Just be strong and do what you feel is right when you feel it's right :) And good luck ...
