Wil - I wasn't trying to push you - it was just a suggestion.

I prefer smooth balls, no pubes, and smooth chest, abs, and no back hair - but the rest I am not so concerned about (but that is my own personal opinion - others may, and do, feel differently)

You should do what you like on your own body.... if it feels right for you - then it is right!

Scott,

You begin to know that there is no shadow of a doubt, I think, you are clear of course, and about this subject too.

Keep cool, and don't even mention it, be sure it's cool between us

I have this"thing" about hairy guys and speedos. A little line of lower chest hair is sexy but there should be laws about hairy bears not wearing speedos. I say shave if in doubt!

Legs can be smooth with hair, but for balls, I prefer to be shaved everyday, that's what I do every mornings

% gay?

Post by highlandssailor » Mon Jan 12, 2009 3:11 am

I'm just curious about several questions. What % of USA speedo wearers are gay or bi? Aussie wearers?College swim team wearers? Highschool swim team wearers? divers? That should be enough to generate some opinions.

heavy question

Post by highlandssailor » Mon Jan 12, 2009 3:29 am

If you agree that a large % of USA speedo wearers are gay or bi,considering how homophobic USA is ;Is that the reason more USA males won't wear a speed suit?---they are afraid that if they do, they may be accused of being gay. As society becomes more accepting of gays do you think that speedos will become more common?Considering how totally impractable board shorts are for swimming do you think that male swimwear styles will ever become briefer again? Now think about it and reply.

I think that your questions are good for other countries in the world.

"That should be enough to generate some opinions." : I agree with you.

I am a speedo wearer, and I am bi :D

are we contributing to speedos unacceptance?

Post by highlandssailor » Mon Jan 12, 2009 3:43 am

As I read speedo talk and view speedo photos I am aware of just how sexually oriented the wearering of speedos is. As we continue to push the envelope of what is accepted in public do we enforce the public's trouble accepting speedos ? We all wish speedos were more commonly worn but we may be ashuring that they may never be! Are we hurting our own cause? :?

They might become briefer since jeans are getting skinnier. I noticed a hot guy with his girlfriend at the mall yesterday and his jeans were so skinny and tight they looked sprayed on. Rode real lo. Mannn...the dude looked awesome. So maybe it will carry over to speedos

I aways have my legs shaved up to about 1/2 way between my knee and crotch so I have no hair showing when i ride my bike or go running
During the summer i will go all the way up if i am swimming.

I trim with a beard trimmer thing, to keep the hair short. I don't like long or thick leg hair. In the summer, I might shave completely a few times during the season. During other seasons, I find shaved legs get cold too easily as I live in Canada. If I had a choice, I would get rid of all my leg hair. My other half won't let me though. :(

I just get my pubes done, and don't have much other body hair apart from on my head. I do like silky smooth bod's, thats just hot to me especially when a speedo silhouette gives away the depilatory secret.

I'm not sure what % of aussies relate speedos to any particular sexuality. it seems to be a little more normal here that in america. Even at school it is part of the uniform and we had to wear them. I think it might be that more bi and gay people are into speedos, where hetros tend to just wear them and not get too enthused about them.
