Speedo's At The Waterpark

Post by atx967 » Wed May 31, 2006 1:21 am

Hey guys. I just wanted to talk about my recent trip to a Six Flags park. It was a great day to lay out and enjoy the waterpark at hurricane harbor. All was well. Great day. I was wearing my simple red aussieBum's. I loved the looks I got. heck I even got some of the guy's from school to complament me. Everything was well. Until one of my dumb ass school friends "reported" me. I remember waking up and a police/security gaurd guy hoverd over me and said "son you arnt obeying the dress code. you need to either put on loose fitting trunks or come with me." Too bad I only had my aussieBum's and a shirt and some athletic shorts. I didnt want to get thoose wet and plus they were in a locker at the front of the park. I had no other choice so I had to go with him. He took me to my locker where I got my stuff. Then he took me into an office where they filed a report and then he led me to the gate. I was so angry at that point.

After all of that I decided never to go back there. Funny thing was...I was in a aussieBum classic and a girl about my age next to me wearing a string bikini and a small top was allowed to wear that. I hate America for that very reason. No speedos at public places like Six Flags Waterparks and even some beaches....

All i have to say...I love my speedos to much to let theese guys get away with it. So im planning on getting my boyfriend and a few other gay guys and all wear 1.5 inch aussieBums to six flags hurricane harbor and letting them know that its not right that girls can wear string bikini's and guys cant wear a simple speedo.

ATX - that is crazy man!!!

I can't believe they would do that.

We might have to organise a speedo day out there with everyone wearing speedos.

You say you "were just wearing your aussiebums".There is alot of difference in aussiebum styles. Maybe you should tell us just exactly what you were wearing--a white wonderjock or a pair of bordies. I agree completely that there is discrimination as to what is allowed between the sexes but if we speedo wearers push the envelope too far we may hurt our cause. I have worn a speedo at a water park with no problems.

I agree, that's crazy.

Which park was it? I looked up one at random, in St Louis, and this was their dress code:
APPROPRIATE ATTIRE

Nylon swimsuits with liner are recommended. Thong bathing suits, regular shorts or long pants are not permitted. Swim-wear with buttons, snaps, rivets or zippers are not permitted

* Shoes are not allowed in any attraction and aqua socks are not allowed on slides
* Infants' diapers may be changed in restroom changing stations only
* Toddlers are required to wear swim diapers
* Swimsuits are only allowed in Hurricane Harbor, and must be appropriate for our family environment
* Shoes, proper shorts and cover-up attire is required when returning to the theme park
That would appear to allow speedos although "appropriate for our family environment" is pretty vague.

If you tried to kick someone out of a water park for wearing regular speedos here in Australia I think there would be a riot!
