Abundant Speedo Locations

I stayed at a men’s clothing optional resort earlier this summer called Twim Palms, and almost every guy was in some sort of brief, bikini, or thong! It was awesome! I am not gay, and that place is advertised as a gay men’s resort, but everyone I met was very supportive of me just wanting to go somewhere so freely wear a speedo, and I didn’t feel unwelcome or encounter any uncomfortable situations as far as feeling like I was being “pursued”

Isn’t Sydney, Australia one too? That’s where the speedo originated.

Yes, Aussiebum and a few others are out of Sydney too. Speedos are common here, all swimmers wear them. People just hanging at the beach are mostly wearing boardies.

IOW, pretty much anywhere else in the world except the USA. That must be American exceptionalism in action. After all the country was settled by friggin' Puritans.

Generally, you are correct overall but places others have mentioned, including Palm Springs, Hawaii, and numerous nude and gay beaches are all in the USA, and whenever I go to one of our local 50 meter pools to do open lap swimming, I am always surprised, and overall thrilled to see so many guys wearing speedos are there of all ages and body types. And of course, since swimming is best done in speedos. So they’re definitely seen here in the USA if you know where to look, but sadly, not so much in the "general population" beaches.

Your not wrong unfortunately men are made to feel embarrassed or uncool these days if they were to wear one, even though there's nothing wrong with it. I think it may be attributed to the rise of social media personally...

Milwaukee , wi summers. Just the last few years, I have seen an increase in speedo, thong, and otherwise. And have heard from a few on this group that they live in the area

I'd have to say Gran Canaria is the new record holder for me. Both at the resort and around the island there were loads of men in Speedos, even the occasional thong. The island seems very liberal as there were plenty of nude sunbathers also.
I certainly felt very comfortable walking around in just my skimpy suit. Plus, the weather was great so I managed to top up the Speedo tan line!

That's a shame but at least you flew the speedo flag for all to see.

My only experience so far has been Miami. There are also a lot of international tourists who don't think wearing speedos is out of the ordinary. I saw both gay men holding hands in speedos and a straight married couple walking just outside the beach and the husband was pushing the stroller with their child.
