I ordered a pair of Marcuse swimmers, Moma style online, and they showed up yesterday - so I tried them on. A bit too tight for the pool, so will save them for nicer weather. I basically checked myself out in the mirror a bit before putting them away.

I tried on a pair I ordered on sale from a Florida company called Mertailor. Not nationally known. They make custom lycra stuff for water shows here (what few that are left). They've branched out into retail swim/fantasywear. The lycra is both stretchy and durable.

My last swim of the year, at the nice indoor pool at the Berkeley Y, not too busy. Rainy day. Wore the Arena brief. Afterward in the shower room, there was another guy in a brightly colored racing brief who had just finished his laps. This Y has a big open room with lots of showerheads on the wall, none of that nonsense of separate cubicles with curtains. We both stripped off the suits to wash them off. We both had remnants of our summer speedo tans. It's difficult to keep the even tan in rainy winter weather even in California. We talked about that and about our swimming programs. I relish that camaraderie.

I tried on the 1st Marcuse I've ever owned, which just arrived over the holidays. I say first, because it's super comfortable, extremely soft, sexy AF and looks to be well made, so I'll definitely be buying more.

I wish there was another swimmer near me...I would love to have a swimming/speedo buddy.
