Ryke Swimwear

Post by Asics87T » Sat Oct 23, 2021 11:21 pm

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has purchased from a brand called Ryke Swimwear. Their products look pretty good and I like the choice of classic or racer (lower waist) cuts. Wanted to know what fabric and sizing of their speedos are like

They do look good! Well, except the leopard skin ones. They're an Aussie company from Perth too. Are they a new business?

Hi Mazda,

Yes it is - ordered from the last night on a whim and will post some photos when they arrive. In hindsight should have got something more plain

I have a pair from Ryke and I can’t recommend them enough. They didn’t stock my size but they were so helpful in sorting it out for me. I am a huge fan of the Aussie Brands of swimwear. Budgy Smuggler and Ryke I love them both. Also find Ryke Swimwear true to size.

I would love to try as I like the cutting and the designs, but they are a bit too pricey for me.

They are along the lines of Budgy Smuggler with pricing of around Aus$60 plus shipping Aus$26. That works out to £32.70 for the trunks and £14.20 for shipping. But they are a nice pair of trunks.

Wow the shipping cost is almost half the price of the trunks!! But I understand that shipping anything out of Australia is terribly expensive.

I must admit, I thought the same when I had seen the price in GBP but to be honest these are a brand who I will only purchase from if I save up for a pair and I want them really bad.

Hi guys,

The order from ryke came in - I chickened out and got plain black instead of the white print.

The fabric quality is excellent and lined both front and rear in a slightly shiny material.

Sizing is a little larger than the comparable Adidas briefs (both size 30 see below)although the cut is the same (low waist). Probably won't keep as i prefer it a bit more snug.

They actually look quite good on you, sits low too.
Are they big at the back?

Not big at the back, or at least the same as the Adidas suits i have - took a photo for comparison (Adidas suit has some green on the side)

This actually looks good on you! Some suits are a bit tricky to fit, I have to admit. They could be a bit too big or a bit too small, and it can be annoying when the fit is not perfect.

Thanks speedoluv- sizing is an issue, I think the sizing for Ryke is actually on point, its just that all my other suits run small!

Probably would not keep the suit i just have but would not say no to another Ryke suit in the future (smaller size perhaps)

Ah so you generally prefer your suits to be tighter...next time you should downsize then :)

Are you going to to return it and request for a smaller sized one?

Looks good from the back. But you can definitely tell the adidas is more snug on the sides

Like the proportions of the cut and width of the sides. Aussies know what works for swim briefs. I'd probably downsize to get the butt to fit right. I almost always have to do that.
