Why do you love speedos?

I was reading the jizz thread thinking I never jizz my speedos because I always swim in them and I realised that there is a really wide range of things that people love about speedos.

For me I love:

They're minimal
They look hot
Shows off your body and some wang
Quick dry
Slippery in the water
They make a statement

Why do you love speedos?

I have loved Speedos since I was a kid.

1) Loved the way they looked on me.
2) The way they looked on other people.
3) The way they felt when dry and wet.
4) You can wear them at the beach and when wet they would dry a hell of a lot faster than cotton underwear.
5) Speedos keep everything in place when you work out. Nothing worse than jiggling junk.
6) Speedos can be so erotic to wear and when some else is wearing a pair they can kick start you imagination.
7) Keep you cool on a hot summers day.
Getting great tan lines.
9) I often like to sleep in a pair which feels great the next morning.

Speedos have always been part of my life and I hope they will continue to do so.

I love Speedos because:
1) They are comfortable.
2) They don't blow up during swimming.
3) They dry fast.
4) They look sexy.
5) For men they are the same as a bikini for women.

Probably the most minimal clothing that can be worn in public.
In many places a sign you do not follow the herd.

This checks all the boxes for me. Yikes, I haven't jizzed them in more than a half a century--only did that a couple times and stopped for the reason you mentioned. Wearing anything with more coverage while swimming makes you feel like you've thrown out an anchor.

I can't agree more with this what was posted above! Speedos are the best suit to feel free when tanning and during all activities around water. And though revealing as much as possible you're well dressed, too.

In the following response I'm using the brand name Speedo to refer to proper, swim competition approved male swim briefs. Not poser suits or g strings or banana hammock.
I have loved Speedos since I started swim team at age eleven. I like how minimal they are compared to other forms of public-approved swimwear! I see no need to cover a fine athletic body any more than necessary, although in top tier competition athletes are using compression suits. They all still train in briefs though, clearly obvious to those of us who participate in the sport at lower, local involvement and follow it at the uppermost level every way possible.
I like to wear my speedos for any fun in the sun activities, which I do a lot! Also for yardwork at home. I like my killer speedo-tan every year. I don't know if anybody else does but it makes me feel sexy when I'm naked in the locker room. Who knows, the right guy might notice it and say something, who knows, that comment might lead to a conversation, who knows maybe that conversation could work its way into plan to go somewhere private and taste each other's sperm. Who knows?
Somehow some people associate the speedo as a gay garment, which it most certainly can be. It's wrong to assume its wearer is gay, though. It's even more wrong to hold that assumption against somebody and use it to ridicule, shame, or bully someone. But that is a whole different topic, it's never happened to me but from these forums I gather it is very common out there.
I like that my swimsuit will fit in my pocket. Or in a little ziploc bag, one is always with me on my motorcycle or in my car, you never know when suddenly it's time to go jump in that lake or join lap swim at the pool in whatever town I'm passing through. Don't even need a towel, after a swim I can air dry in minutes, suit and all.
I like all the different patterns and designs available for briefs, from the solid black swim meet suit to the wildest colorful monsters or the hilarious denim cutoffs print.
I like letting a friend try them on and making adjustments to how he's wearing them so everything looks just right before I lose it and yank them off him as quickly as possible. I might let out some gagging sounds but it's not from how he looked in my speedo, believe me.
So yeah, I love speedos. I love the conversations we have here about them and really,really enjoy photos of men in superb physical condition ( my favorite being the Swim Bod) that our friends here share.

I just like em for the freedom I feel while wearing them oh and my partner likes them on me too. She has always defended the speedo guys

You make a good point. The comp Speedo cut really does look good, and you are well dressed at the pool.

I would say pretty much the same as the rest here, They look great, the tight fit, quick drying, And I hate the ugly designs on most swimwear/board shorts they push on guys. And I have short legs, so just about everything seems to go way past my knees, making me look even shorter than I am.

The minimal amount of clothing that can be worn in public is the number one for me, all the others are just added bonuses in my book.

I love seeing a nice speedo tan line, but unfortunately as fair skinned as I am, getting a tan line myself is near impossible.
