What are you doing to stay fit with your local pool closed?

Post by speedostud » Tue Mar 17, 2020 8:09 am

All the public pools in my area are closed now, I love swimming every day, but also love the opportunity to be in my speedos, especially around other people - and definitely in the showers and change rooms! I was wondering:
1. what everyone is doing to stay fit?
2. what are you doing to get your speedo fix?

In my area since yesterday all pools and gyms are closed for the next time. Nobody knows how long it will last.
I'll try to stay fit with some workout at home, like push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups or so, also cycling and hiking. But swimming is no longer possible. For this we'll have to wait for summer when the lakes are warm enough. Enjoying live in public with speedos is from no longer possible from now on.
Let's hope the best that this Corona sickness will soon be over and we can go on with our usual activities.

Got a wife thats immunosuppressed, so we're both in self isolation to protect her.
Got my exercise bike fixed and I've been walking the dog and keeping well away from others.

Speedos, I wear as underwear, comfortable and adds a bit of colour to life...

Normally when the pool isn't available I just use the weight room at the gym. But of course that's closed now too.
So I do the dryland exercises we teach the kids on the swim team. Plus a bunch of tough floor exercises my physical therapist friend has taught me.

Right now, trail running plus light weights/bodyweight exercises at home. I'm currently cutting so by continuing to watch what I eat and alternating cardio with home exercises I should be okay. It would be harder if I were trying to build muscle without being able to do compound lifts.

At home HIIT and yoga, and I am getting outside for social distance running and cycling (that is, solo). Backyard pool allows for speedo time regardless of the COVID.

I'm still going for my evening walk at the moment. I guess I'll have to forego my speedo fix, though.

I’ve started doing workout routines posted by some of my favorite Instagram accounts. Like Kevin Hejnas (@hejnasty) especially for legs, and @sheffield_diving (which I found via the Haslam brothers) posts daily home workouts on their account

Texting chat with one of my lap swim buds has us thinking our exercises would be better if we worked out together. So he invited me to his house this evening to do that.
Not sure what to expect but I will wear swim briefs under sweatpants in hopes I can lose the pants at some point. I have no idea if he likes guys but this might be the chance to figure it out. I really want to have a bit of a bi experience and this guy is younger and in great shape and would be ideal. I absolutely would taste his cock if I had a chance.

I shall try to get out and walk as much as I can. Regular swimming has been an important part of maintaining my physical and mental well-being, losing weight, and keeling my type 2 diabetes and depression in remission. I swam for an hour on Friday, just before it was announced that all leisure facilities in the UK would be ordered to close - I still haven't quite come to terms with it. And I thought that if I followed the advice about social distance, washing my hands thoroughly (mild OCD too, so no issue with that!) and self-isolating if necessary as per the guidelines, swimming was a safe activity as COVID-19 cannot survive in chlorinated water.

I am now wondering whether I should get a wetsuit - I am fortunate to live by the sea.

Sooner or later, Governments will have to address the huge physical and mental health implications of having populations that have been largely inactive and isolated for indefinite periods.

in Ft Lauderdale here and the beach is closed. Most of my friends are paranoid so no one wants even with 6 feet apart. So I walk across from the beach (you can't touch sand- tons of police on each corner), pullup bar and biking.

Just recd. a note the lock down in Florida has been extended till May 8th. No gym and no lap swimming. Killing me.

I can layout in the backyard and will have a heck of a tan when not on my PC.

And maybe a bit of Pornhub..
