See, I like this style a lot more than conventional speedo style briefs ... the traditional speedo style squishes a guy's equipment too much. I really like the newer design pouch style swim briefs and thongs available from many vendors as it gives your equipment a place to be and doesn't pretend that a guy is an eunuch or Ken doll.
So a natural "shape" then? I haven't thought of it like this. I was always fascinated by Ken's lack of ... well, anything much ... beneath his underpants.
Yeah, exactly.

They offer a more natural shape which is far more comfortable to wear than competition briefs which seem to want to mash everything out of sight.

This is a Sporti Euro. It has a much more confining front. No pouch really.
That is good to know. I thought it appeared to have a bit of a pouch to it.

Thank you for sharing your observations! We can all make better purchasing decisions because of it.

Okay, today I took my new suit from “CheapUndies” Out for a swim. I wasn’t to worried about the fact that it’s small, most of my suits are. I worried that it made my equipment stick out to much. Now I’m not so sure. The suit is a winner in my book. It stays in place, and I don’t have to stop and adjust it every 25m. The most amazing thing and totally un-looked for, is the feel of the water sliding by my equipment. It’s as though the suit channels the water through the suit and past my cock and balls. I’m not sure being naked would do that. It makes swimming feel amazing. I’m one happy camper

I have not worn speedos around my brothers and sisters, or mom, not that I have many opportunities, but I have never been shy about wearing them in front of my wife and kids, and some of my friends. It's just swimwear, after all

Here’s one of mine that I doubt I’ll wear in public.

Oh come now, this isn't nearly that out of control.

I think this looks quite fine on you and you would quite within bounds to wear this, even at a community YMCA.

BJE, What suit is that? What's the back look like? I think I'd wear it in public, I'd just choose carefully where I chose to wear it.....

I like that suit. I’d wear it. I’m beginning to like these suits that lift and push thing up front. Turns out they are every comfortable. Of course I don’t swim around children, I might think twice about that.

It’s a Brave Person but not the same as my red one. The problem with it is that it’s really thin and I think unlined. It also doesn’t have a drawstring if I remember correctly.

Because it’s thin it’s also very stretchy which means your package flops all around when you move. I can’t find it right now but when I do I’ll post a rear view.

Here’s a tanning view. I’m quite certain the waistband is rolled down in this picture.

Same with my suit. Thin, no lining, and I flop. Well as much as a cold wet dick can. Mine has a full rear, but I never liked thongs.

I don’t mind laying poolside either even if there are crowds of people. In that case they are walking past me and it’s not me parading in front of them.

This sounds conceited but I rather enjoy being seen almost naked since in my mind at least those seeing me are admiring me. I also think I get a bit of a sexual type rush from being exposed. I’m kind of addicted to it. If I can’t get to the pool for a couple of days I get withdrawals and can’t wait until I can get almost naked again. I like going to hot tubs at hotels not because I enjoy the water that much but because I want to be nearly naked around a bunch of strangers. I’m disappointed if the hot tub is out of order.

I guess now I’ve told my darkest secrets.

PS. I also like walking around the locker room naked with my hairless pubes totally exposed. Then again I’m pretty happy with my size.
This is one of the primary reasons I enjoy wearing speedos. For me, it began in high school when I switched from boxers to bikini style underwear. There was something thrilling about walking around the house in a bikini that barely covered me. My underwear continued to get skimpier. I get the same feeling from wearing revealing swimwear.

I would never wear a speedo in front of friends or family. I have and will continue to wear one accompanied by a female romantic partner, especially when on vacation in a tropical setting. When I was younger and actively wearing one, I was subconscious about it in front of strangers on the beach or at the pool, but I forced myself to and it became less of an issue. Now that I'm older, I have a gut that hangs out looking like I’m 7 months pregnant. This makes me unwilling to even be shirtless in public, much less wear a speedo or even swim trunks. The rest of my body is ok, and could improve with weight training. I don’t know if I can flatten the stomach though. But I'm now at that "I'm old enough now not to give a shit what other people think" age that if I could get back into shape, I would not be as self conscious about wearing a speedo as I originally was.

Self-consciousness issues?

Post by Speedoaddict » Sun Dec 15, 2019 6:52 am

I can’t wear speedos at a public pool. Under my shorts no problem. I don’t know why but I just can’t. Yet I can undress in the changing at the gym no problem. Doesn’t bother me in the slightest. I know it’s all in my head. The other thing is I can’t wear shorts round family. Silly I know. If I go on holiday on my own or with friends no probs shorts go on. But round family. No. Just can’t do it. My anxiety goes through the roof. I just can’t cope.
Yet I can post a pic on here of me in a swim brief.

It doesn't worry me, I wouldn't say totally, but 99%. Because I've worn speedo's for as long as I can remember, spent so long living in a boarding house, spent so much time in performance based sports lycra, and have done that for so long l just really am not fussed if people see me in lycra, my dick or whatever.
Yours is the attitude I'm striving for, Sam!
