Partner against speedo suits.

Post by Texas_swimmer » Sat Aug 10, 2019 4:29 pm

Hey guys seems like a guy I'm seeing isn't into speedos at all. He said he wouldn't wear one. Which is a shame because I think he would look sexy in one. He mentioned he wont be around if I wear one. I'm sure he was joking but it's hard to tell over a text. Anyone experience this?

I'm bummed out but maybe I can convince him to change his attitude towards them.

If he doesn’t like them and said he won’t be around if you wear one then tell him to f**k off. He isn’t worth. Surely each other’s likes and dislikes should be is part of a couples tolerance for each other. Perhaps he is kidding only one way to find out. Buy him A pair, both of you have a shower and a bit of fun. If he keeps to his promise then you will find someone like minded.

Well I think he meant if we swim he wouldn't want me to wear one. I'll still wear what I want to wear though so I'm not sweating it.

I'd just be straightforward with them and ask them why it bothers them so much. If they can't come up with a reasonable explanation (and, let's face it, there probably isn't one), then I would say too bad so sad for you and just keep wearing them.

I would say try em on, take him to the shower and show him how much fun they.
If that doesn’t change his mind tell him the door is there don’t let it hit you on the way out.

If he doesnt accept what you like to wear then hes wrong for you.

I like women but any female who asks me to drop wearing them is not the one for me

It seems like straight guys use the excuse that they won’t wear speedos because speedos are “gay”. However your example shows that even gay men won’t wear them.

In other words speedos are sexual orientation neutral. Both gay and straight men like them and don’t like them.

Oh, that's a shame. I think guys are usually less squeamish about partner's fashion than girls. First, check to see if he really is joking or not. Maybe you can win him round? Perhaps he just feels self-conscious in public or doesn't like his body?

I think you look amazing in your suit, Tex Swim, and would have no problems hanging out with you in any context. 8)

I’m so used to seeing pictures of guys in speedos that to me it just looks so much better than swim shorts that by comparison shorts look really dorky. It seems that guys should be more embarrassed to wear shorts.
