Too cold to tan?

Too cold to tan?
Headed to Palm Springs for a week with the BF and was hoping for some definite speedo weather (like 75-80). Forecast is for mid-60s, but generally sunny. I know it’s all about personal preference, but curious to hear whether people view 62-65 and sunny as too cold to lay out. Palm Springs also has a great outdoor City/public lap pool that I love to use, but at 8a air temp may be 40 degrees —not sure I’m going to be lap swimming in that.
Biggest issue is packing: if 75 degrees, we were bringing a duffle filled with speedos and T-shirt’s and shorts. 60s means (dreaded) pants and perhaps long sleeves!
Thoughts? Thanks guys.

Hmm, I would say mid 60s is borderline, perhaps if you are in a sheltered spot out of the wind it would be ok.
I would still be in shorts though, but I am a Scot!
As for outdoor pool I would have no worries, only your head will be out the water. I have been in heated outdoor pools below 0'C and snowing!

Mid 60s? Absolute scorcher if it was in Scotland!
Re: Too cold to tan?
i've never been out there but i'd be worried about the desert humidity factor. They always say it feels cooler at high temps than a more humid climate. Not sure if that would apply here as well.
That being said its supposed to be 70 here on Tuesday and I plan on getting some sun!

VA —that’s a good point. I’ll try (almost) anything once! Enjoy the 70 degrees!

FYI —60 degrees and sunny with no wind is perfectly Fine for speedo tanning in Palm Springs!
