Biking
5 guys I started biking with this year were complaining of chafing.I asked if they wore anything under their bike shorts. All five of them wore tighties.I told them I go commando.Today they all thanked me that chafing has stopped.Told them if they were modest stick with black biking shorts.
Re: Biking
Like wearing bike shorts and tights.I do own white in both. Not shy to showoff my legs and tight bubblebutt.
Re: Biking
Cycling shorts are typically designed and recommended to not have any undergarments worn under them. My Mrs. insists on wearing underwear with them, but is none the worse for wear.

Re: Biking
Never tried cycling shorts. Tbh they are to long for my taste.
I have always fancied cycling in shorter shorts, perhaps rugby shorts with speedos underneath. .
Get a bit of air circulation going. Lol.

Re: Biking
The problem with that is thigh rubbing on the saddle. I have a pair that are about mid-thigh that I like for warm weather. Will post a pic if I get a chance.Speedoaddict wrote: ↑Sun Oct 07, 2018 4:26 pmNever tried cycling shorts. Tbh they are to long for my taste.

I confirm that underwear should not be worn under cycle shorts.

Re: Biking
Back in that glorious era when wearing a speedo for a whole triathlon was "in", guys have used various lubrication on the sides of bike saddles. I never had a problem because I pedaled kind of bow-legged, which I've since learned is terrible for aero, so I've tried to improve that. I still like to hit the bike trainer in my basement with just a speedo on.

Re: Biking
Nice pics Scottie. I see what you mean now. Those are shorter than the ones I have seen. Thanks.

Re: Biking
When your legs are pumping at 90rpm for 2hrs, and especially as your legs grow into muscular tree trunks, you will rip your thighs and sack sides apart in anything other than proper bike pants.Speedoaddict wrote: ↑Sun Oct 07, 2018 4:26 pmI have always fancied cycling in shorter shorts, perhaps rugby shorts with speedos underneath. .

Re: Biking
I have gone cycling in square cut suits a few times this summer. I usually wear bike shorts, but decided to try something a bit shorter, and never got any odd looks from anyone.
Re: Biking
I like that length. I drive home from the office on the ocean-side road here that has a lot of cyclists. They seem to wear longer cuts. The last pair of bike shorts I bought (20 years ago) were the length you own.
I still have my Raleigh Super-Course 10-speed. It's a museum piece now, but it runs well. Made in the now-gone Raleigh Carlton Works using Reynolds tubing (plain-gauge. The double-butted was too expensive for me when I was in school.)

Re: Biking
My usual shorts are probably the length you would expect.

Re: Biking
Yes, that's the length I see around here. We have hordes of cyclists. They fill the road for their evening rides and back up traffic. Must be clubs. Fortunately, they're going south, and I'm going north.Scottiebum wrote: ↑Sun Oct 14, 2018 12:12 pmMy usual shorts are probably the length you would expect.

Bike shorts typically go down almost to the knee (I own about ten pairs of them).Thom wrote: ↑Sun Oct 14, 2018 1:50 pmYes, that's the length I see around here. We have hordes of cyclists. And Thom, please tell me that you're nice to cyclists when you pass them in a car- no honking, giving them plenty of room, etc. As an avid rider I think we can all safely and happily share the road with one another.
Re: Biking
ripped the ass out of a pair yesterday. Cool ride home but got plenty of whistles.
