Speedo'ing it up in America

Post by DaveSpeedoEvans » Tue Jan 23, 2018 3:51 pm

G'day guys,

Today was just a sensational day in Breckenridge.  Kip and I were up early and grabbed first chair and it was blue sky, no wind, no lift lines and great snow.  Sounds like a perfect day - perfect day would be 12 inches (of snow.... keep your mind out of the gutter).

We just got back and I'm going to head down the street to the local rec center for some lap swimming.

If my previous experiences are any gauge, I will be the only guy wearing speedos.  It is weird over here, guys will be walking around completely nude in the change rooms (which isn't really my MO), but then will be lap swimming in dork shorts.  In Aussie my experience has been the opposite, no nudity in the change rooms but 90% or more lap swimming in speedos.

Don't you guys worry, I'll be speedo'ing up for the cause.  I'm going to wear my AussieBum Portsea's so if you are at the pool in Breck and see a guy wearing blue AussieBum speedos, say g'day.

Dave

Come ski Big Mountain at Whitefish and swim laps with my crew, you most definitely won't be the only one in briefs!

G'day guys,

As expected, I was the only person I saw at the Rec Center wearing speedos. I'm pretty sure my AussieBum Portsea's got a few looks. Swimming at altitude is always a little bit harder - just the breathing makes me slow down a bunch.

After swimming 72 length (which I read is 1 mile) I sat in the sauna for a while - again, no speedos to be seen.

Dave

I'm sure you were a wonderful speedo ambassador, Dave. Maybe some blokes were inspired by your portsea's and there will be more speedos in the pool next time? :P

I am happy to report I am spotting an uptick in Speedo Bikini wear at Wilson Aquatic in Washington, DC. Very pleased!
