Maui Trip

Post by 52dno98 » Fri Aug 25, 2017 10:51 am

Just finishing up a vacation to Hawaii with my wife. Got to swim laps a couple of days at the Lahaina Aquatic Center which is a very nice public pool and, of course, wore speedos to do so. My wife knew I was doing that and asked me not to wear them at the hotel, saying it would be weird. To her point, we only saw two other people the whole week- both of them old foreign guys- wearing speedos.

Long, surfing-style board shorts reign supreme in Hawaii. It was pretty rare to see any men wearing shorts that didn't go all the way to the knee.

Anyway, one day I swam laps in the morning and kept my speedo on under my board shorts to join her at the hotel pool. As soon as she left to go shopping, the shorts came off and I lounged by the pool in just my speedo. What. A. Rush. Then later, she stayed by the pool and I went walking on the beach for about 45 minutes. I whipped the shorts and tee shirt off there, too.

As much as I wish she'd be cool with me wearing speedos in front of her, because I was discreet about it (she didn't know either time) I didn't embarrass her, which is a win for her. Do I feel like I got to scratch the itch of wearing publicly in a sunny tropical location? Yep. So we both won.

Not a perfect speedo story by any means, but good enough.

I'm a new member here, but I've been checking this great site out for quite some time. I'm a married speedo fan who is lucky enough to have my wife not care about whether I wear soeedis or not.

I was on Maui for 3 weeks last January and wore speedos to the beach and pool daily. On most occasions I was the only one, but there were other days that I saw one or two other guys in speeds. But as you said most were in Board shorts. Too bad! After leaving Maui, went to Kauai for a week and saw only one other guy in speedos.
We're going back in January and I plan to wear my speedos every day, don't care if I'm the only one. But I need to do some speedo shopping as I've list some weight and most of my old ones don't fit the way I like them
Was looking st the Sporti Euro, but not sure if too low cut for me. Although I have an HOM that is fairly low cut.

I will post pic and avatar soon.

I've never been anywhere, local beach or tropical vacation, where there was more than one other person than myself wearing a speedo. I've only seen another speedo a few times in fact. I go shark tooth hunting regularly in North Florida, and vacation in Dominican, Mexico, and several Caribbean islands. I'm usually the only one.

Although my wife was the one steering me towards far shorter swim shorts, she drew the line at anything square cut or shorter. After showing her I could pull it off and no one cared, I wear them all the time now. I think her only concern now she says, is other guys in speedos hitting on me. Not that she has anything to worry about. But if your wife is like mine (which is far more common than I thought), be careful what you wish for.

So you're willing to afford the HOM, but not spend the $10 to try a Sporti? Buy 2 in different sizes. Their return policy is great.

Actually, I bought the HOM while I was in Paris last year at the Bon Marche and it was on sale...for about 10E...so at the time maybe about $13... I guess I should have bought a couple more.... It turns out to be one of my favorite suits. I've normally worn the basic speedo/nike 3" and on occasion a SOLAR.

May I ask why she felt that way? She doesn't want others to see the shape of your bulge?

She has remarked before that she can see the outline of my penis in a speedo- that's something SHE is fine with, as we see each other naked all the time. But I guess she feels that I should be more discreet with other people.

More importantly, I think she probably just wasn't me to wear something that draws attention to myself and makes me look foolish. Whether or not I think speedos look foolish (I obviously do not), SHE does, and I didn't want to spoil her vacation by making her uncomfortable.
