I have always used NAIR for the back. It isn't the best as I found shaving with my Shick Hydro better but I need someone to shave my back. So I use the Hydro where I reach and NAIR the missed areas that I can't reach shaving.
Any advice?

Re: Back hair maintenance
Unfortunately in recent years I have developed hair on my upper back and shoulders. What I do is use an epilator to pull them out. I go over the area about every other day to keep it smooth. At least I can reach it by myself.

Re: Back hair maintenance
I have back hair but never really bothered about it. Lol. Perhaps I should be bothered.
Thinking about having it waxed? Any other ideas?

I use the MANGROOMER everywhere, and I just saw a week ago that the same company makes one specifically for the back so you might check that out!

Re: Back hair maintenance
I actually just purchased the Bak Blade shaver off of Amazon and just tried it out yesterday for the first time. I was actually impressed with it. For $34.95, I hoped it would be good and it was for me. I don't have a lot of back hair, just a few random patches and some on my upper back. But it's visible enough that I keep it shaved.
Normally my partner has to shave my back, which is annoying because I can't do it whenever I want. And not that he minds doing it when I ask. But still.
What's nice is that you can use it dry. Unlike trying to shave with a razor on dry skin, this uses a safety razor that has a comb like guard, maybe 1-2mm that keeps the blade slightly off the skin. It still gets a close shave but it allows you to do it much faster than with a normal razor.
It worked so well in fact that I used it on my rear, stomach, chest and upper arms. I was done in maybe 10 minutes. I don't know how much replacement blades are for it but I doubt I'll have to buy them often. This isn't your everyday razor so they may have to be replaced a couple times a year.
Oh and the blade is like 5" wide! So it covers a lot of ground in a fraction of the time!! I could have my entire back trimmed in just a few minutes.

Re: Back hair maintenance
I'm a really hairy dude, so I'll shave my back if I know I'm going to be seen without a shirt. Other than that, it's too much work to maintain. This Bak Blade thing sounds promising, I'll have to check it out.
Just a straight guy who likes speedos...

Re: Back hair maintenance
I think you'd approve of the Bak Blade. I'm not super hairy and I was impressed. So I can only imagine how well it would work on a hairy dude. I'm confident that it would deliver as good, if not better results, on someone with consistent hair!
