size/fit for "big package"
Hello
Im new to this forum. and to the "speedo world". Just bought my first swimbrief from N2N. I usually wear 30 with jeans. Ordered the medium size and it feels a bit big. But I don't think i could wear the small size either since, i have a bigger package than normal size i guess.
I ordered an aussiebum (2.5). Will see how that one goes. but other than that, do you know any brands that have a good fit with a lot of room for the front?
I'm not even sure if the swimbrief goes well on me since i never wore this kind of swimsuit before. any advice for a newbie?
thanks in advance

Re: size/fit for "big package"
I have the feeling that brands that handle Swim+Underwear like N2N or Aussiebum have nicer styles, but they tend to focus more on the looks, rather than on the performance. If wat you want is swimming laps and swimming as a sport, check out the classics (Speedo, TYR, Adidas, Arena, Nike) or the fun ones (Funky Trunks, Budgysmuggler, Turbo). Not only will they be cut to be fast, but also be chlorine resistant and wear resistant.
When buying a swim brief you want one that fits snug to your body, since excess fabric makes you slower when swimming. So buy a pair which "compreses" your body to more streamlined shape. Not to tight as to hurt, but tight enough to reduce resistance/drag in the water.
Typically the swim briefs with "extra room" are not really to swim as a sport, they are to show off a bit. In my experience, no person has such a big package that it wont fit in a swim brief. Also giving extra room makes your body less streamlined and thus slower when swimming. Besides, after swimming a few laps, shrinkage will kick in and give you a bit more space in your swim briefs.

Re: size/fit for "big package"
I agree with you SpeedoSimone. My "fashion" suits aren't designed for compression. But my Speedo and Nike suits are because they're designed for the performance. I'm not a lap swimmer so I gravitate towards the fashion briefs because I don't like to have everything squished when I'm relaxing at a pool or beach. I just want to be comfortable and not feel restricted by trunks or board shorts.
@justinjustin I have a lot of N2N! Most of them are pretty consistent in sizing but every now and then I come across a style that is cut much tighter than the rest. I have a 28/29" waist and I always buy small. Depending on the style, I've found most of their suits to have ample space in the pouch. You have to look for their contoured designs though. Some with the flat pouch won't be as roomy. Which one did you purchase?

My HARDCORESPORT water polo briefs have quite a bit of room up front. You might try them! Or Turbo. My friend's Turbo is somewhat loose up front too. I think he ordered a Small and wears 30" jeans.

I don't think it looks weird at all. And that style with the non-contoured pouch doesn't give you as much room for your jewels. Most have a decent amount of stretch to them but not all. I have some that the fabric is thicker and doesn't stretch as much.

It looks great to me. But is it uncomfortable at the front and again are you swimming or going to the beach.

Re: size/fit for "big package"
its more for the beach. i feel comfortable in it but i have to tie the knot tight, otherwise i'm afraid it'll just fall off lol
maybe i should try a more sporty model to see the difference?!

Re: size/fit for "big package"
Just to clarify my issue is my ass can be not average and I can find some brands may stretch in the front but be too compressed in the back that is why Turbo doesn't work for me but Other Brands like Speedos, Tyr, Addidas, Nike fit me fine. But also black is a color that may not draw too much attention to yourself

Re: size/fit for "big package"
I highly recommend a basic Speedo classic brief. You can get it in a variety of patterns and designs, and I think it'll accommodate your *ahem* generous proportions. I don't have the same "problem" as you, but a Speedo was my first speedo and it served me very well.

Here you will see a non-contoured pouch: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=139568justinjustin wrote:what is the difference between non-contoured and contoured pouch? do you have an example of a model?

Here you will see a contoured pouch: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=139576&start=10
Contour puches give you a bit more room to place your goods, and also an ergonomic space in which to fit them.

Thanks for all the info guys! It really helps! I think ill buy a speedo one. Do you recommend any other companies? I like neutral styles (preferably without logos) with rich colors. I ve been looking for a green forest speedo but cant seem to find one.
Heres a better of my n2n. Its actually olive color
