Hey everyone!
I'm heading to Bermuda next week and was wondering if any of you knew what I should expect when sporting my Aussiebums (or other briefs) by the pool while i'm there? I'm still going to wear them no matter what I just want to know what to expect!
Also a side note- anyone know if there's any gay culture there? I hear they're pretty don't as don't tell about it from their more traditional roots.

I'd be interested too. I was there a l-o-n-g time ago. I bought a French brief swimsuit when I got there and wore it at the beach. I was a college student on a budget, so I stayed at a guest house with no pool. I don't remember what other people were wearing, but I seemed to remember fitting in okay at the beach. A lady from France (herself wearing a small, black bikini) who was ten years older than me was very friendly, so I guess I looked okay enough.
Bermuda may be more conservative now. I wonder if they still wear Bermuda shorts there (heh...)
It may be getting a chilly there....low seventies. Come to Florida some time. It's warmer.

Thanks for at least some info Thom- I'm staying at one of the big resorts in Hamilton with like 2 pools and an offsite beach club but I'm going there for a big sailing regatta so I won't have tons of pool lounging time but I'll fit some in! Highs are predicted in the low to mid 70's next week so not the ideal speedo weather but much better than the 50's it is up here in NYC!

So sadly I didn't get any speedo time while down there 
We arrived in the middle of a big rain storm that also threw 40knt winds across the sound before we got one good day of weather where I was on the water all day for the Regatta. Then came another day of squals and 30-40knt winds before a picture perfect day of Bermudian weather where I had to get up and get to the airport to fly home. But even around the resort I didnt see any speedos Oh well hopefully next time I go I can get more speedo pool and/ or beach time!
