but which way?

Looks like down is winning so far. I position mine to the left but it often ends up pointing downwards eventually!

I voted down, although since I recently got the seam between my dick and my balls pierced I've started wearing to the side on occassion just so it shows a little... I am surprised by the voting though, from what I see on the site and in my local pool it looks to me like a lot of lads are pointing up so I thought that'd win.

I really thought forward (ie budgy smuggler) would be right up there. By far that is the most common that I see at the pool.

Down for me. But I also choose my swim briefs with a contoured pouch so it's comfortable down. Not as comfortable in standard Speedos, in which case I'll go to the side.

.....no matter what, mine will do its own thing. I'll inevitably end up pointing forward too and particularly so after factoring in shrinkage (caused by temperature) after getting out of the water. IMHO, I think it's a good "natural" and comfortable position too if one's concerned about which way to point (as in this example).

Usually down, but when I swim or just go for a dip it shifts to the side.

I go right. That's the way it likes to grow so it allows for better containment in the event of *unplanned stimulation.*

I start with it to the side: but in cold water, I shrink, so it usually ends up pointing forward, particularly with some suits that get more stretchy in the water.

Upwards. Sadly, there really isn't enough there to point anywhere else unless it's hard, and in the water, it doesn't matter anyway due to the shrinkage factor.

Normally left, but in the water whichever way it wants to due to shrinkage. Although pointing up would be the most hydrodynamic.

Forward/down for me. I always feel exposed when it's pointing up. If I get hard, it runs the risk of peaking out above the waistband.

I point down since its the way it naturally hangs. However, after having a swim and because of shrinkage it ends up pointing forward. I have to keep shoving it down when I get out of the pool

Usually down, which I think looks better. Sometimes to the side for a change. I have tried up, but it never stays and with low suits the knot in the drawcord is just in the wrong place - ouch!
As others have said cold water leads to pointing to the front.

I usually start out pointing left if a little firm, otherwise forward. I usually come out of the water pointing forward. I enjoy seeing guys pointing forward in a speedo...gives a great looking head outline!
