Speedo for Erotic Art Festival?

Post by PNWGuy » Wed Apr 20, 2016 7:36 am

Debating with myself whether to wear my Sporti Eurocut for the Seattle Erotic Art Festival opening night party Friday. Or a fundoshi? I've got two pieces hanging in the show, under a pseudonym, so does that give me an excuse to express an alter-ego and be a little wild? I've never been to SEAF, but understand from friends that nearly anything goes, from minimal to dressed up semi-formal.

Personally I don't think you even need a reason to express an alter ego and get a little crazy!!!

Thanks, pburks. I bought myself some red batik dyed gauze yesterday, tore a strip a bit over 8" wide, and made myself a fundoshi last night. Pretty comfortable and I think it looks good. So I'm leaning in that direction. I'm confident in my body, but the idea of being at a public event so minimally dressed still makes me a bit nervous.

From the SEAF website, "Our guests tend to wear it all: from a t-shirt and jeans, to high fetish attire, to pasties and underwear! As long as you aren’t showing any bare genitalia (Washington’s rule, not ours!), we will accept you with open arms. The most important thing is to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and sexy, because…we like sexy."

A couple of fundoshis, one of tulle fabric which is much too revealing to wear, the other of red batik gauze. I doubt I'll take any photos of the SEAF event itself. There will be several professional photographers covering it.

I say go for it! Last year before I attended Gay Pride I was debating if I should wear a G-Sting. I'm glad I did, not only did I have a good time people loved my outfit.

I ended up wearing both the batik and tulle fundoshis at the festival Friday night. Started the night in jeans and an UnderArmour tight-fitting t-shirt, switched to my black swim brief with the shirt, then the red fundoshi only, and finally the see-through one. Felt totally comfortable walking around the show and party no matter what I was (or was not) wearing. There aren't many events where you can do that. Some of us commented that it seemed OK for women performers to be nude but none of the guys were.

Wow PNWGuy that's awesome! I'm super happy for you. I think people like you who are trailblazers will give other guys the permission they need to follow suit and be naked or in "skimpy" outfits.
