San Juan, Puerto Rico Speedos and/or Thongs

Has anyone been to Puerto Rico lately and know if small speedos and/or thongs are fine? I know they're legal on the beaches but wasn't sure about most of the hotels. I couldn't find any "rules" for the hotel I'm staying in or any others nearby. Making sure I pack appropriately but with the most "fun" suits possible while not offending!

I would say speedos or briefs or bikinis are OK at any hotel pool in PR if you have the confidence However I would not wear thongs at hotel pools unless you want some comments Save the thongs for the beach & your avatar may be a bit much for the hotel pool PR is very open but like everywhere the boardshorts are the most popular from what I saw last fall Go for & make us proud on the beach & do not be alarmed if you get some attention in your blue suit

Thanks for the insight Terron. I've not been to PR but usually will wear a "speedo" of some sort, like the Andrew Christian in my avatar. I have several that are minimal 1" sides but look sporty so I don't look like I'm trying to pose at the pool. But I do want to be comfortable and get some great tan lines!

I stayed in San Juan last year and had no issue wearing my speedo at the hotel beach. I only saw one other speedo during my stay and that was it. Don't worry about it, have confidence and wear what you want. You're in PR, people are there to vacation and enjoy themselves, I suggest you do the same.

Just got back from PR and had a blast! Most "conservative" suit I wore was 1.5" side Desmit swim brief with a white rear.

The most revealing one was the N2N Nitro X, which I wore at the hotel pool (which always had at least a hand full of people) and in front of my partner's work colleagues.

I was the only swim brief on the beach or at the pool aside from 1 square cut that I saw on the beach one evening.

See I told you PRs are very liberal & expect tourists to enjoy there stay You look fabulous in your blue & white suit & really like the see-through effect on the sides WOW

Thanks Scottie and Terron! My partner isn't really one to get turned on by underwear or swimwear but he went crazy over this suit! And the top and bottom on the rear was just as see-through as the sides when wet, lol! Didn't get any pictures from the back but it shows the top of the bum when dry and even more when wet!! It was a lot of fun. Can't imagine what everyone else in the pool thought... Oh well!
