G'day Guys,

Welcome to the Speedo Forum.

Hi from the UK

Post by Bradley » Sat Jan 03, 2015 3:04 pm

Hi I am a new member but I have actually been following posts on here for about a year now.
I am 18 and live in the UK.
Unfortunately I don't actually own any speedos or even any underwear that are smaller than boxers. I say unfortunately as there is something about speedos and skimpier underwear that I am attracted to but I have never had the courage to buy. This also means I don't have any suitable photos to share yet.
I was wondering if there was anyone else around my age group on here?

Hi Bradley
Welcome here and have fun! Don' t worry. You'll soon get the courage to buy speedos or so when you have joined this forum for a while.

Hey mate,

There's gonna have to be a day you give in and just buy a suit! Isn't much of a taboo in just heading Into sports direct and buying a suit =P

Hope you do soon, just to gain a profile picture!

Welcome dude!
All I can say is the thrill of buying your first speedo from a store is amazing, I recommend it highly : )
Otherwise if you're a bit nervous, shop online : )

Hi mate
Just go into Sportsdirect in the Arndale Centre on a Saturday morning when they're so busy no-one will notice you and they'll have forgotten all about you 10 seconds after they've served you. They've got some great Adidas square leg trunks at the mo and I got a pair of Slazenger swim briefs from there which I really like.

Bradley,
I could not echo ricardo's comment better, your first in-store purchase is one you will not forget! I enjoy reliving that day, because, yes, I was nervous, I was concerned on being judged, but I did it and I am very proud to still have that suit, as faded and stretched out from swimming in the pool, I keep it for posterity, and you should get that one for you too that you will always remember! You have the luxury of purchasing on the internet; at my time, we had to do it in person, and still would today, so let us encourage you to buy that speedo!
Let's keep it brief.

Welcome to the site! Think the UK is showing a good speedo love at the moment.

Honestly don't be shy, I've bought tons of speedos and people honestly don't even care. Wear them and be happy. Plus if people stare who gives a dam!

Or buy online, that's what I do as well.

Happy speedo'ing!

It has taken a while but I have managed to buy my first pair (did it online), they were only £9!

They are as comfortable as I had imagined!

Sorry about the poor image quality I will get round to doing a proper photo at some point

I wouldn't worry about buying them online, I do as the section of swimwear available locally is rather limited unless your after something cheap (normally lycra based and won't last too long) or board shorts.

But then there is the thrill of searching through the online retailers or even eBay, selecting your new suit/s and paying for them, waiting x amount of days for them to arrive in the post sometimes forgetting. Carefully unwrapping them and inspecting them closely for any flaws, slipping them on up your thighs and over your bum, adjusting until perfect and then admiring the fit/colour/style in the mirror before....
