Speedo numbers at local pool

Post by Aussietriboy78 » Thu Mar 06, 2014 1:11 pm

Went for a swim at my local pool last night and it was great to see so many guys walking around in just Speedo's!
Especially the hot dad in his black speedo with his two sons who were also wearing Speedo's.
Was great to see.

Great to see the speedo popularity is coming back.

Thats awesome! I think that speedos are more popular at lap pools than regular ones based on my experience. I've actually seen some guys wear a speedos while doing laps in the lap pool then go back inside to change into shorts to swim in the regular pool which makes no sense. I hope this summer I can get some of my friends to wear speedos with me.

One friend has shown interest... last summer I brought him one of my speedos to try on at the beach but it didn't fit him. We were going to go speedo shopping but we got busy. He still has my speedo maybe it will fit him this year.

But I'm glad to here that speedos are becoming more popular! :)

- Cheers, Frank

Were they actually becomming a lot less popular down there in Australia? Noooooo, say it isn't so! Not down under! That's speedo central!

BTW, what kind of suit is that in your avatar? It looks amazing!

It's not me in avatar, just found a picture of line so I had something until I got a photo of myself.

The brand is Dietz, a very sexy brand.

I've got to say most genuine swimmers are wearing tighter swimwear at my pool. Briefs, square and jammers are still pretty popular. Recreation it's all shorts of various style long and short.

Pity really but still proud and happy to be wearing my speedos!!!

You guys are lucky. My pool is different. The 'recreational and play' swimmers wear shorts and sometimes boardies. Most of the younger 'real' swimmers are in jammers. The 'other' serious swimmers are in Speedos, all of which are pretty much the generic off-the-rack chain store or mail order brand. I always wear a Speedo, but over time have been playing around, going a bit smaller with bolder colors and designs. And I will wear the same suit in the warming pool and hot tub! Why change when I'm already wet?
Check My Collection in Photos ... always adding new pictures! Fletch.

I too am surprised that the speedo was going away in Aussie land, you guys were our hero's in the states.

Keep up the work with spreading and rocking the speedo in the most awesome speedo haven!
Let's keep it brief.

Even though a lot of guys still wear jammers, I get to see a lot of speedos at my college's pool, because there are swim and water polo classes that encourage guys to wear speedos. Plus quite a few of the casual lap swimmers wear speedos too, including me and my workout buddy. And it's kind of funny because one of the lap pools has floor to ceiling windows that look in to the gym's hall way, so all the gym bros walk by and see us in our speedos. :)
