I know there are many guys who look for speedos with 1" sides. Someone recently pointed to http://www.buffedbod.com. The owner custom makes your speedo. You can choose from over a hundred different fabric designs or more that a dozen different colors. You can pick the size of the sides, size of the front & back, choose line or unlined, and with or without drawstring. He is also having a close out sale for old fabrics. You can get a custom suit for $17 U.S. He does do internationl shipping. He also makes slide front & back suits, square cut suits & underwear.

Anybody looking for a "special" suit should check out his site. I've just odered some suites & hope to have them in 2 weeks. I'll give an update after I get them.

Yes, this site and also muscleskins.com is very similar in their offerings. The thing I noticed in the pictures on both of these makers is that their suits all look like they ride pretty high up the leg and on the butt. Which is different than the Asian cut suits that interest me that ride much lower and just barely rise high enough in back to cover the butt crack. Narrow sides for sure, but these suits look more like the type that body builders wear rather than swimmers/divers. I wonder if they have patterns to take out some of the "vertical" rise, I guess I should email them and ask them.

Hi diveguy. He as over 100 patterns of fabric to choose from.

They are custom made, so you could always ask if he could make something with a lower rise.

Yes I have to think they can cut them custom to order, but what I meant by "patterns" was not the printed patterns of the material but the "patterns" (or "templates" I guess) used to cut the pieces to size before they are sewn together.

Yes I did. They fit very well & were quite comfortable. Wore the 2 square cuts on a cruise last month. (Posted a few pic's of one of those suits.)

Thanks! I have always dreamed of having my own custom-made Speedo tailored to my body and preferences since seeing a shoppe in Newport, RI that did custom swimwear. Unfortunately, it seemed to cater to the female, and couldn't imagine going in and requesting a Speedo for myself. Gonna give this place a try!
