Nike or TYR suit similar to Aquablade?

Post by Tobias » Fri Jul 05, 2013 8:03 am

I bought my first two speedos last year. Both were aquablades. I wanted a tight fit and not the looser nylon fit. Being a bit shy I prefer the racing fit as it really holds things in. The bulge is less noticeable.

I want to try a TYR or Nike suit. I like the Nike brand and TYR offers more colors. I'd like to find a gray colored suit.

In any case, does Nike or TYR make a suit similar to the aquablade? Basically a very tight competition style fit is what I'm looking for.

Suggestions appreciated.

I've never worn a TYR but I have a pair of Nike's and they are quite a thin clingy material - which it sounds like you don't want.

Like I said though, I've never tried a TYR so can't compare but when I did my lifeguarding course the 'club swimmers' wore TYR so I think they're popular amongst club swimmers who prefer not to have anything really showy.

Hope that helps but I'm sure someone else on here could be a bit more help hah

TYR has the Fusion 2 brief that holds things pretty well. I have a full length swim legskin version. Go exactly by their sizing chart. It's not conventional.
