Post Shaving Skin Care Tips

For those of you who do shave your arms\butt\groin\legs\goodies etc., what do you do afterwards to keep your skin smooth?
Swimmers shave everything and you never see a single razor bump! I must know how! I'm sure some other people would like to know too.

What do you do when that itch starts to set in after a day and a half?

What's your secret to preventing ingrown hairs?

Share all your secrets here!

I just shave my junk and whatever else every single day I shower -- smooth and prevents itching and rashes. After you do it for so long, it can go really quickly!

I don't shave against the grain around the groin to prevent razor bumps. Shave with the grain for no itch. Neutrogena rainbath shower gel works well for shaving.

I can get away with shaving against the grain on my legs. Since I cycle I like to keep things shaven in case of crashes - I also like the look and feel.

I use organic castor oil after for moisturizer.

At my last waxing, the technician recommended Neutrogena's Body Clear Body wash combined with regular exfoliating body wash (like Dove for Men's). It has worked well for me but everyone is different.

Good luck!

JohnC I don't regularly shave my legs as I definitely get odd looks from family and such. But I will say that I LOVE how it feels when they are clean-shaven. Wish it were more accepted.

Ok so its a oldish post but here's my reply to people who ask and so what.

My answer is, to a point true aswell.

I'm abit hairy if I dont trim and it takes forever to dry off if I don't, besides I dont want to remove all the sea water when I get out as I need to be considerate for other swimmers and I feel alot cooler (true)

This normally gets a good laugh and subject is closed

I trim once to twice a week, oddly its only my legs and arms, I like my chest with a bit of hair so I leave that alone.

When its hot I wear shorts and I dont give a darn what people think
