I am in Boston. I usually get to Ptown once a summer for a week. Otherwise, I head to Singing Beach, speedo and all. A day at a designated beach would be a great idea. Let me know

Nice, I usually do a week in PTown too. I've been to Singing Beach a couple of times, but don't usually see too many Speedos... But it has been a few years,,

I SPENT MANY SUMMERS IN CAPE COD, USUALLY FALMOUTH, BUT HAVE BEEN TO TRURO, PTOWN, NEVER HEARD OF SINGING BEACH. I AM FROM SOUTH SHORE NEAR BOSTON , PLT2087

Singing Beach is in Manchester on the North Shore. It is nice, quiet and easy to reach by train. I have also been to Crane Beach in Ipswich which is larger, has a sparsely populated gay section way down to the right. It doesn't come close to Ptown beaches as far as then # of gays but is nice. Any other good gay spots on the South Shore? I have been to Nantasket and many on the Cape. We should coordinate all the guys from MA, CT, RI and find a nice central beach next summer!

THANKS FOR THE INFO ON SINGING BEACH, WHERE DO YOU TAKE THE TRAIN FROM? I LOVE THE TRAIN, JUST CAME BACK FROM A TRIP DOWN SOUTH ON THE TRAIN. SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT IDEA, A CENTRAL BEACH NEXT SUMMER!

To Singing Beach, the commuter rail leaves from North Station. Crane is also reachable by train but requires a shuttle bus too. Now we just need to make it through the winter. So it will be speedos at the pool but no beach for a few months!

Also, it's not too difficult to take a car free day trip to Ogunquit from Boston via train. The Amtrak Downeaster out of Boston's North Station stops in Wells, ME, where you can get a shuttle or taxi to Ogunquit. Plenty of speedos there.
