Just wear them and if anyone makes a negative comment, just tell them you like wearing a suit that's comfortable to swim in.

By the way, would they object to wearing "Jammers"? They are just as revealing as a breif or square cut.

probably not but i dont own a pair of jammers. Also i forgot to make this point but when i wear tight swimwear as such i tend to get really relaxed in them which can lead to a mild erection. Im worried about that happening, i suppose if i was tanning i could just turn over but what if i was stood up :S

If you're gonna wear what's in the pics you posted, go ahead. When I was in Brazil, I wear speedos under my swim shorts. I would go to the water in my shorts but when I wanted to tan, I removed my shorts. After tanning for a while, I "forgot" to put them back on and continued in my speedos. Erections are unsually unavoidable. Remember, erections are a good sign that things are functioning normally. I hope that helps.

as long as your confident with yourself and your body wear whatever you want! And as far as the erection concerns- everyone has one at some point; its a natural thing and the more that you wear speedos and tight swimsuits in public the less likely you will be to get one. For me I get like instant boner at home when I put one on but when I wear one in public I have never had a problem with it. Just relax and act like its a normal thing to wear that!

Hope this helps!

I am so happy to live in Europe.

I have worn Priape, Bods, Aqux, N2N, Dore Gabriel and other stuff to both pool and beach, from briefs to squarecuts. No comments whatsoever. I keep my body slim, tanned and entirely hair free, which makes me feel comfortable wearing them. I have experienced, it gives a younger appearance, too.

Honestly, it feels like a surreal world to me, reading that even shorter shorts can make one think you were a pervert in some places.

I wish all of you could experience the freedom of wearing whatever swimsuit you'd wanted. Wouldn't that be an ideal world?

How old are you? Are you are still living home with your parents or are you on your own and meeting up for a family vacation.
If you are at home and have been wear board shorts or baggies and running around the house in boxers, there is sure to be a comment with a totally different look. I'd just shrug it off saying they are comfortable and you wanted to try them.
If you are on your own it is doubtful anything would be said unless by a teasing sister.
If your family is died in the wool religious and think the body is to be kept covered or you have a father that is homophobic and thinks any tight suit is only for a fag (whether you are or not) - it is a bad idea.

Without us knowing your age, living situation, your family and more about them or where this vacation is going to be, it is hard to make a blanket suggestion.

I'm in a similar situation with my family. I've always worn trunks around them, and I just started wearing speedos and square cuts a month ago at the university's pool while I'm working out/swimming laps. I'm probably going to have to just go on a vacation by myself sometime so I don't get seen by my family in speedos. My mom bashed speedos and those who wear them since I was little.

to BigYoungSchwanz:

Wear the speedos or square cut if you are at a pool or beach with the family. When your mother makes a remark tell her they are required at the University Pool and that's all you've been wearing. Tell her you prefer them for comfort and ease in swimming and that was all you brought. If that isn't enough go to another part of the beach and decline any other invitation that would include a swimsuit. If you are in University, you are old enough to pick your clothes and wear what you want. It's not like you are wearing those Asian suits with you ass crack and pubes hanging out, or a thong or white Aussiebum, you are wearing square cuts or regular speedos. She needs to understand that if she makes you feel uncomfortable you may not be coming home so often or declining to vacation with them again. Some mothers don't want to admit their baby boy is a sexual being and with the bulge confirming it, they are uncomfortable. It's her hang up - not yours. Wear and enjoy.

PS did it ever occur to you that all her objections may be because she actually enjoys the bulges and doesn't want to admit it to herself? Complaining and name calling is a normal reaction for that situation.

My mum is against speedos and all those who wear them, (except for people doing Olympic swimming), yet she didn't mind me wearing speedos when I was 9 years old!

I'm planning on going on a vacation soon without my parents, so I am glad I will have a great chance to try out my new speedos I got earlier this year.

how old are you? If you are an adult I'd just tell your mom that you are comfortable in them and want to wear them. Remind her that you have grown up and pick and pay for your own clothes so get to choose what you wear. Tell her that you don't pick her clothes or slam her choices (assuming you don't) so back off on your choices. She will either figure out that you have grown up and respect you for it, or make sure future family events don't include the pool or beach.
However, if you are still living at home and dependent on Mommy and Daddy -- suck it up and do what she says. (I pray that you are under 18 if you are and not a day older)

I've told her what I feel best comfortable in, and strangely, she is now saying "Whatever makes you feel comfortable", and when I pointed out that she is fussy about what I wear, she said "As long as you are comfortable, and staying within reason"!
