Gay Sauna's

So I've recently discovered a gay sauna which is sort of near me. I haven't been yet but from what I've seen online it looks alot of fun.

It has a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, glory holes, maze, video rooms, private cubicles and a darkroom.

Now here's my questions:

What exactly is a darkroom? Hah

And does anyone here frequent a gay sauna? What's it like?
Or has anyone been to one but won't go again? And why?

Ah, I think a darkroom is...dark. You'll never know who has gone down on you, and that could be a good thing. I've been once and never returned. Just not my scene. It's all a bit desperate, a lot of it is not terribly safe (from a sex point of view that is), and frankly i prefer the ambience of a bar and some chat. Never had any problems getting picked up...or picking up for that matter...in a bar, so sauna's aren't for me. I think you should at least give it a go and decide for yourself. Like Scotty i did let a small groan escape.

Well I'm curious but I don't think I'd go on my own, and it depends on the dress code. Some places don't allow underwear or swimwear...

what's the point of that?!

Yeah, I think it should be up to you as to how comfortable you feel. I agree that you should go with a mate.

The one i was thinking of going to mentions that people prefer to just wear the towels given to you at reception, but they don't mind people wearing shorts or trunks if they feel more comfortable.

So that's why I think it was ideal for me to chill out in speedos and socialise. Then take them off when I feel comfortable doing so.

Thanks for the comments guys, it seems to be the kinda place I'd enjoy for a dirty evening lol so I may give it a go!

Here in the states Gay "Saunas" are commonly known as "bathhouses" and there are two of them in the San Francsico area.

One is called The Steamworks (in Berkeley) and the other is The Watergarden (in San jose). They have a large hot tub, a conventional pool, a steam room with showers and various "Play areas" with porno vids.

What goes on in bathhouses depends on exactly what you're looking for. The activities range from just erotic to XXX and all in between.

It's in Cardiff, mate! Google "The Locker Room" they have a site but I can't remember the URL.

Go on Wednesdays. Students under 25 get in for £5 all day with an NUS card. The dark room is on the third floor. You could bring some film.

Yeah Slammer is on West Sunrise east of 95. Bunch a dives in that area. Gets better once you get closer to Federal and then across the intracoastal (before they closed, Borders Books was right on the water and had a dock) toward Galleria and the beach. Slammer is open 365 (366 this year) even on Christmas. Ack. It makes that place in Cardiff look like a historic site.

So it turns out this place is a 5 min walk from my front door and I've walked past it numerous times without realising! If it were speedos only I'd be there every day!

But you couldnt pay me to go to Slammer. Ack! I'd go in and never be seen again. Ummm, I don't think they're into speeds there.....

Hahaha Justin - now you have me soooo curious about this Slammer place. I'm going to have to ask this friend of mine who recently got back from doing a few photo shoots down there - I think he also worked a few parties at The Manor. However, if I know him well enough, he'll have plenty of stories
