Do Aussie's wear jockstraps?
Moderator: DaveSpeedoEvans
jocks
hi, i studied in a private school and can say that i never heard or wore a pair of jockstrap until i finished school. when i played sports i never seen any of my opposition have jock lines showing through their shorts......and i looked.
i don't think australia has a tradition of wearing jocks. i always thought it was an american thing.
yes lifeguards do wear their speedos up their crack. but this happens when lifeguards are in their row boats cos there is more grip on the seat. the speedo is slippery (if this is not the only reason please let us know).....hope this helps.....maybe some others can shed more light on the subject? harv

Re: Do Aussie's wear jockstraps?
I think the difference was that when I was growing up, we wore briefs, not boxers, so there was no need to wear a jockstrap to provide support. My impression is that Americans are more likely to wear boxers?
