Nike Teraz for $1,301.58

So which one of ya'll bought this Nike Teraz? lol
I was following this auction last week and got outbid at $30. I can't imagine ever paying this much for a speedo! I have a green Teraz. It's awesome, but maybe not $1300 of awesomeness.

I had a black and red teraz back in the day. I ended up selling both of them for double what I had paid. The black was a great suit, but the Nike swoosh degrades quickly and the red suit definitely shows the goods. Back then I didn't see myself wearing it, but now....maybe.

Yup, there's nothing left of the swoosh on mine.
But I'm surprised how well the material has held up, considering it's so thin.

I have a used, red Teraz that someone gave me. Pretty worn. Still, if fit well. Wish they'd make it again. The suit was legendary for a reason.

I mean, what makes that suit so special??? I’ve seen it on eBay many times and never understood why the price. Also the same for some of the school swim team suits that get listed. Is it a fetish to wear a preowned suit by a high school swimmer?

I think it’s because they are limited supply and people collect them. You have the same with running shorts and the Adidas Glanz shorts. I sold a pair of Adidas Sprinter shorts on eBay with the elastic round the legs on the inner brief and the waist had perished. But I still got £35 for them.
If you buy a pair of running shorts from Nike or Adidas you might pay £30-£40. But if you want a pair as worn by an elite runner then you will only find them on eBay. You might expect to pay £75+ for them.
You could never buy Team GB Speedo suits either and when these appeared on eBay they could fetch over £250+, but now TYR and Arena are supplying Team GB and Team England you can more often than not buy a replica pair. Crazy I know but this is the way of the world.
