Mizuno Speedos

Hey guys,

Has anyone ever owned a pair of Mizuno speedos? These look really hot – if anyone knows where to find them, email me (DaveEvans@SwimmerBoyz.com – yes I’m still working on the comments but should be done very soon) and if you find these, I will give away a months membership to www.SwimmerBoyz.com.

These look like the old speedo Aquablades which I only ever had one pair of. I liked the Aquablade material but the cut was too wide on the hips for my taste. And they were darn expensive.

Cool site. Thanks.

Do you think the "Putting Flat" size chart is the un-stretched size of the suit?

don't bother with that size chart

XL is around 32-34inch waist
L is around 29-32
M is around 27-30

if you are out of that waist range, it's kinda unfortunate, cuz they don't create any larger ones

since dave's email is dead for some reason, i'm gonna post more details here

this is the direct link to the exact ones posted on the blog

http://www.kyouei-mizugi.com/?pid=115923726

I personally own quite a lot of mizunos, probably around 5-10 pairs of them.

This model above (which is the same cutting as the one you posted on the blog), I own color 27 (royalblue) and 09 (black), both in L size (30-31~ inch low-rise waist). These mizunos' material and cutting, aqucela, is quite TIGHT. Even though I'm used to fitting in S or M for other japanese speedos, mizuno is an absolute L for me. If your waist size is larger than mine, I definitely recommend getting XL. The cutting is absolutely amazing, but maybe extremely tight for western peeps. I highly recommend royal blue, and definitely not recommend the red color. The red is actually very dark in real life, and is more maroon than red. The maroon color isn't very flattering at all (i've tried them on in real life).

You can also get the same speedos on
http://buyee.jp/rakuten/shopping/search ... y=N2JQ6011 or http://buyee.jp/item/search/yahoo/shopp ... y=N2JQ6011
(one is rakuten, one is yahoo shopping, both are very large shopping sites in japan)

or just adjust the search terms to fit the model you want, such as N2MB6022 for the plain colored ones

I buy from both websites (buyee.jp and kyouei-mizugi.com) quite often, so I'm kinda an expert on buying japanese speedos to ship overseas. Buyee.jp is slightly more confusing to navigate, but ultimately has more choices, AND usually cheaper. Kyouei-mizugi.com is more straight-forward, but lacks sizes a lot of times.

if anyone has more questions, you can PM me

Hmmm that's very interesting. I always use buyee to buy anime stuff from Japan but never thought about buying Speedos. That's a very good idea!

Wow. Thanks for all the info! When I've bought Asian suits, I've found that the L fits pretty well. I bought an M once when it was the only suit left on a sale. Pretty snug, and it was wearable.
