Do a quick search on amazon and select "free shipping by amazon" . The site is having it's annual big sale on 7/12. Good luck, hope to see you model the new purchases soon!

Have a look at what is worn in the pictures in this forum and see what takes your fancy

What style / purpose are you looking for? I have lots of AC underwear and suits, but only a couple are suitable for public. Aussiebum is very popular here on the forum, but like the AC brand, some are modest while others leave little to the imagination. Are they just for swimming, or are you lounging in them; or a little bit of both?

ABs are popular on this board but from pictures that people post here, 90% of them are sheer or completely see-thru. If that's what you are looking for, the prices & choices are reasonable. There is also 2eros, Pistal Pete, Andrew C's that tend to be more like AB suits.

On the sport side, Arena suits tend to be smaller while Speedo suits tends to be more generous. Sporti suits tend to be cheaper and are well liked on this board. There is Nike and Adidas that are great too. Then you have a bunch of smaller brands like Funky trunks, Budgy Smuggler, Corka, Sluggers which are practical & fun all around swim suits.

The main water polo suit brand that many people like here because of their durability and look is Turbo. Just remember to size up once size because they are made for waterpolo. There are a few other water polo suits out there too that are good.

If you want to get into the more 'fashion' suits, check out Parke & Ronan, Mr. Turk, Diesel, Ca-Rio-Ca, Dietz, Calvin Klein, 2xist, HOM, Sundek. Then there is a whole line of high-end fashion suits like Versace, Dsquared2, D&G, T Ford, JPG, Gucci, R. Lauren Blue and so on.

You can't forget the China brands which are very affordable but some on this board have expressed that they had a hard time with sizing. Longevity can also be questionable. You can find them easily on eBay & Amazon.

Places to shop.... Swimoutlet.com, Swimminn.com are a good site to see some good selections. Ebay has a ton but you can also find fake suits there which are not a good in quality as the real ones. If you want a particular suit and it's a popular brand, consider doing a key word google search because for example, Speedo Solars often pop up on Macy's, Nordstrom, Sierra Trading Post, 6pm.com sites for a great price.

A lot of people here have experience with a ton of different styles of suits that range in price, color and fit. They have posted a ton of photos so you can see what they look like on a lot of different types of bodies. If you have a question about a particular brand or sizing, pose the question to the forum and chances are you will get a great response.

At the end of the day, figure out what is your price range and where do you want to wear the suit. As with clothes, your suit might say a lot about your personality. Pick one that you are comfortable with and meets your needs. Nothing is worse then buying a suit that just sits in a drawer.

GOOD LUCK and report back on what you decide...

Wow, rmf! That is quite an informative and complete response. Great job!

Just one note, I have three water polo suits and went with my regular size. They are snug, but I like them that way. I guess it depends on personal preference.

Definitely a good full response. Thanks for the info. I really want aussiebums, n2ns, and some more andrew christians, but i do want a few that are practical as well. I like the adidas with the stripes. I gonba stop at sports authority and take a look there. I do have a jammer but i like briefs a hell of a lot more.

rizzoc - you say you dont want family to know what you are buying, so be careful with buying some from asia or china as they have the contents listed on the customs label!

The speedo solars fit great. But the unicos are a little tight in the back. Not something id be wearing too often.
