I saw a sponsored post for this site, shinesty.com, pop up on Facebook the other day. A number of my "friends" had liked it. They are much the same as the plethora of other sites with trendy clothes that have exploded lately, except they have a whole section devoted to "speedos." Obviously these aren't speedo brand, just the cultural reference to briefs - I'm actually surprised they haven't been sued for using the name.
Many of their designs are clearly tongue-in-cheek and meant to be funny, but it still remains that they are marketing brief swimsuits to young men as a way to be cool. What surprised me, too, is WHO on my friends list liked this site - they probably aren't buying the "speedos" but they clearly weren't put off by them.
