I just ordered quite a few new suits from Amazon and wanted to share how surprised I am with them! First, they're cheap! Great quality, construction, fabric and fit. The "Solar Brief" is their thong style and it reminds me of the speedo thong, but better. It's low rise and doesn't have as much extra fabric as speedo did.

They're all lined in front and have a drawstring, which makes them look more sporty and less poser. Colors are great too! Definitely go with their size recommendations. I wear size xs or small in most stuff (28-29" waist) and I ordered US M/ Asian L and they're pretty perfect.

Asian pouches are usually pretty non-existent so I was concerned. But these actually have some room, especially the Solar and the Fashion Brief (2 tone front, solid back). The Race briefs with hip stripes are a little smaller in the pouch but still fit well. Better than Seobean!!

One seller on Amazon, Neleus, offers them all and they qualify for free 2-day Prime. All suits are under $10/each so it's a great deal! I also bought a solid race brief that fits well too.

Sides are about 1" on all Solar Briefs, 1.5" on all Fashion and hip striped Race Briefs and 2.5" on the Solid Color Race Brief. Hope this helps!! Highly recommend them! I ordered 11 total thinking I may return some after trying the fit and seeing colors in person. That won't be happening now though.

Here are some photos of the suits. They fit me just as shown on the models. Nice lining in front too. Full front lining with thin fabric and sewn at waist, hip seams and crotch so it's not a floppy liner cheaply sewn in like Seobean.

The fit is really good Fifa_D. They're minimal and low rise but not in an obscene way at all. I find the cuts to be minimally athletic, if that makes any sense. They're 1000% worth their money in fit, fabric, and construction.

The two brands that I have are marcuse and jor. I've been very impressed with the quality of those, but they were far more expensive. I'll have to do some looking for that brand. Do they have lots of different styles?

Wow, great find, chicagoswim! I absolutely love asian cut styles. And you say they all have drawstrings? That's awesome.

I love the front look of the black thong. Would love to see the same cut on a suit with a full or nearly full seat. Also love the cut of the last one that's mostly gray except for the pink quarter-panel on the left side. I'd skip the pink and go all gray (or any other solid color) and that would be one hot, amazing looking suit!

No problem! Happy to share. I wore 2 of them in San Juan and loved them. Supportive (competition style supportive) yet low rise and sexy. I even wore them in front of my partner's colleagues and snorkeling (the gray and pink). Great suits!

Please post some vacation pictures of you wearing the Desmiit suits, especially if wet. I would love to know how they look in use rather than promotional photos. Thanks for the information.

May have to check some of these desmit suits, myself. Maybe even that black thong.

I like the vented seam in back. I just know I'll swim faster because,

a) water will sluice through hydrodynamically and

b) when I've had refried beans for lunch, my suit won't balloon in back and float my ass up to the surface.

bahahahahaha.

I've been looking at these suits on Amazon with much interest. I'm not yet ready to buy any for reasons I described in the "diet and exercise" thread, but that doesn't mean I don't really want to get some of them. My main criteria, and for me, it is super important, is that any suit I buy needs to have a drawstring. I need that to feel confident that it won't slip off if I enter the water head first from 10 feet above the surface, or dive head first into strong surf. Or freedive to depth and the last thing I need to be thinking about is if my suit is going to stay on securely during active usage.

Sorry, that's a lot of background leading up to my question for you, which relates to that I did not see any reference in the Desmiit Amazon listings to drawstrings on most of the suits I looked at. Usually, if a suit maker includes a drawstring, they'll mention it. No mention usually means no drawstring. I won't consider buying a suit without one unless I want it specifically and only for sun tanning, not active water usage. Or for wearing in sexual situations, where not having a drawstring is probably advantageous.

So could you please confirm, did all your new Desmiit suits really come with a drawstring? If so, did that come as a pleasant surprise to you?

They did all come with drawstrings, including the "solar" (thong) suits. It wasn't a complete surprise to me since some of the styles showed it in the pictures. But it was partially for the thong. I was very glad that they all had drawstrings though! There's something about having a drawstring showing in public that makes a skimpy suit appear less vulgar, for lack of a better word. I feel that people won't think I'm trying to pass underwear off as a swimsuit and that I bought one for the purpose of swimming! Just my opinion
