Hey guys,
I'm looking to buy a pair of Turbo's soon but unsure on sizing. I've read that I should buy 1-2 sizes up, is this right? Any help would be great.

I had read that too, but after trial-and-error, I found that my "normal" size XS/28 was perfect... no upsize needed.

Turbos are definitely not as stretchy as other brands, though, and are less forgiving. For me, even one size bigger was too loose, and I suspect I wouldn't get into one size smaller at all! (Also, their sizing chart is slightly different between their dual-layer waterpolo suits and their single-layer swim suits.)

Good luck!

They aren't stretchy at all. I've gone up one size and could nearly go up a second size.

My first pair were the Aussie Flag ones which were L, the second pair I got are the ones pictured below which are XL. I take an L in AussieBum and they fit perfect.

Just my experience.

Turbos definitely don't give any extra room.. I generally wear a 36, went to a 38 and fits perfect. You will love those suits!!

Turbo's do not give much, there is little to no stretching of these suits, and for good reason....wouldn't want a loose suit while playing such a rough sport and you wouldn't get to far with the ref asking for a time-out to tighten up your suit, and the hazing in the locker room after.....no,no,no....

I have a 32 inch waist so medium is my first choice, but when I sized up like other's suggested to a large, I found it far to uncomfortable. I swallowed my pride, sent it back, and ordered the extra large, and still love the suit. Mind though, I do not have the body tone that exbex has so a normal size might work on a more toned body.

My current favorite Turbo site is "Kap7", they can do custom, out-of-print orders too.

I have a custom Turbo suit in my usual size 28. Fits perfect. Yes, it is a little bit smaller than some racing briefs, but that's a good thing if you like your speedos more minimal. I also loaned it to a friend once for an event, and his waist is a little bigger than mine, but he wore it for most of the day with no problem. So I'd say just go with your regular size!

Wow, I have been wanting to post something about Turbos for a few days now and didn't get around to it.

I have been looking for a good chlorine resistant suit for a while now. I've gone through 2 and I am on my third suit in one year due to breaking down and fading from the pool at my gym. Turbo suits are known to really hold up well and for the cost of three suits, I could have purchase one Turbo. After long and hard research of styles and reviews, I ended up buying 2 turbo suits. I wear 29-30 pants (on the fitted side) and I always go with a size small in swim suits, underwear and shorts. I purchased a size small in Turbos. I've seen photos of folks here sizing up and to be honest, I don't like my suits to sag in the front. I prefer a clean, flat front and not VPL (photo above is how I like to wear mine). I ordered a size small (30) which should be true to my size.

After trying them on..... I now get where guys say that der' nutz are crunch... they are. While the suit is bigger laying flat on top of my Speedo Solar & Deitz suits, there is very little stretch and they do fit tighter. I am now wondering if I should have ordered a medium because I am not one to squeeze myself into a smaller suit and then have love handles or cheek smile (when you suit is way too small and your glutes make a big ole' smile roll from the elastic of your suit). However, I don't wan them to fit loose either.

I will also confirm that they are very low cut and when I wore them this week to swim, I kept pulling them up in the back thinking my butt crack was showing and I didn't want anyone to think I was a plumber who happen to be swimming .... the low in the front was ok but I normally point up and to the left so it wasn't a serious issue in the front (but still tight). I think it would be pretty tight if I had a preference to point down.

Sooo, long story short... if you are the type of person who prefers a looser fit, size up in Turbos. If you like a tight smooth fit in the front where the buldge is not obvious, stick with your regular size. If you have any worries about what you would look like in a tighter suit, size up.

As for me, I've committed to keeping & wearing one of the Turbo suit in a size Small to the gym. It's the really bright green Money Skull suit. I wore it this past Tuesday to swim at the gym. And while I didn't seem to faze the biddies in the hot tub (soaking after their jazz aqua fitness workout) when I got into the pool, I did notice one guy who is a regular swimmer there stop and take long look and then smiled as I was putting the floats back on the shelf. It was all good because he is a regular at the gym, a crazy serious swimmer and, always wears speedos himself. I know it wasn't the fact that I was wearing Speedos but that probably they were pretty loud in color and had a big ole' skull on the back of my arse!

For those who suffered through my ramble and wanting to see photos.. I will post some soon. I will use the "it's the holidays" excuse card and work on it in a few....

Good Luck and let us know how it goes!

My new Turbos arrived today. Thought they were too big when I first saw them :) but when I tried them on they fit perfectly. Very comfortable to wear. But you guys were right in that they don't give. Pics to follow soon :)

I had the skulls as well.

I went a size up and it was adequately comfortable, but next time I will get my normal size. I typically order 32 suits and have a 34 waist. For Turbo I ordered a Large.

I don't mind a little squish for swimming laps. I hate sagging suits!

I'll be ordering another suit soon, as I sold my previous one.
