What size to buy?

Post by leglake » Sat Aug 09, 2014 8:42 am

Hello, fellow human beings. A little background information before I come to the question about swim briefs.

I have been a waist size 30" for several years, but that started to change once I acquired a boyfriend, haha (fortunately, I'm single again). A fortnight ago, I had to let go of 2 of my jeans, and the other 2 are close to their expiration date! I now have 2 32" jeans, and they fit fine.

As far as keeping healthy, I'm not very good at that, and I have tried repeatedly. I have a typical college diet (ramen, frozen pizza whatever else is cheap), but I drink water 99% of the time. I also skateboard 3-5 times a week, for about 2-3 hours with very little breaks. I don't see myself changing habits soon, as I'm in grad school, and that eats up so much time. (hell, I can't pull it together with all of this free time in summer).

(Swimming? No - I really really dislike swimming. I just love how swim briefs feel and look on bodies)

So, right now, I only really have one pair of swim briefs, Speedos Men's Core Solid Briefs in Navy, size 30. They were a bit tight when I purchased them, and now, they are only tighter. But, that's not a good thing! Because I'm, um, gifted down there, and it hurts so bad! I'm only comfortable when there's cold water, and I avoid that like the dickens.

My main purpose for owning swim briefs is for the erotic feel. I want to be able to wear them as underwear all day. Also... I want to wear them while wrestling other men in them (I am signed up for wrestling personals). Basically, they're going to be dry most of the time, except for occasional showers and baths (and maybe a special circumstance where I'm hanging out in the river with friends).

I wore the size 40 Speedos I bought for my ex (he never wore them) to bed, and they feel good for that. Of course they're too loose, but not as bad as I would think.

I am going to purchase a new pair when I receive a paycheck this fall. But, I'm looking at this pair of Bear Pride Flag swim briefs on eBay (attached). Although I doubt I'll win them, due to my lack of summer funds, I'm going to try anyways. I'm not sure whether to try to bid on the size 32, or be safe for the future with size 34?

Thanks!

Its very hit or miss when it comes to online purchases. I have found that the speedo brand fit tight as I am a 30 waist and the size 32 seem to fit fine. I have had good luck and bad luck with online purchases in the past. sometimes buying the size they say I need and sometimes upsizing and getting to loose or sometimes downsizing and getting to tight..
Its a bit of a gamble but would advise checking the feedback and product reviews before buying and also make sure there is a return policy. Most states do not allow swimwear to be returned however but you can always resell on Ebay and I have made a profit a few times when my online purchase went bust.
