Hey guys,

Looking at mixing things up. Always wanted to try a thong style suit but not sure which brand is good. Also probably a stupid question but what is the difference between thong and g-string?

Thanks

A g-string is what it sounds like - a thinner string-like strap around the waist and up the back. Whereas a thong has both a wider waist strap and a wider strap up the back compared to a g-string.

if this is your first one, i'd probably go for a thong, also depending on if ur gonna wear it in public, or in private. a thong would probably be abit more 'conservative' compared to a G, in public.

they call the N2N ones 'G strings' but in my book theyre thongs ahha.

despite what some of the manufacturers call "g-strings" that are actually thongs, a g-string is just what it implies -- a pouch held on with string. They have been around since the 1920's. Classic male photography had all the guys wearing g-strings until the late 60's when the laws changed. The thong came along for two reasons. There were some places where the laws required the genitals and anus be covered. The g-string didn't cover the anus so the added width was added to the butt strap and thus the thong was born. It was also a an all out time in society and the thong was introduced as swim wear (along with the topless swim suit for women.
Call it what you want -- but a thong is not a g-string! If there is fabric in the crotch or around the waist, it is a thong.
